City Council Meeting of February 4, 2008 <br />Page 7 of 7 <br />WHITE BEAR CHAMBER OPEN HOUSE <br />Council Member Haas added this item to the agenda. The White Bear Area Chamber of <br />Commerce will host an Open House on Wednesday, February 13 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at <br />the Chamber headquarters in White Bear Lake. The open house will provide an opportunity to <br />meet the new president Dale Hedstrand, president elect Hugo resident Tina Volpe, and Executive <br />Director William Dinkel. No formal action was taken. <br />REQUEST FOR MAXFIELD STUDY HOUSING INFORMATION <br />Council Member Haas added this item to the agenda. Washington County Housing and <br />Redevelopment Authority had contracted with Maxfield Research, Inc., to do a study on housing <br />needs. After reading the executive summary of the study, Haas questioned whether it would be <br />possible to have a representative from Maxfield make a presentation to the Council regarding the <br />housing study completed by them. <br />Haas made motion, Granger seconded, to direct staff to contact the County and inquire on the <br />possibility of having a representative from Maxfield Research, Inc., present to the Council the <br />study completed by them. <br />All aye. Motion carried. <br />RCWD SEEKS APPLICANTS FOR CITIZEN ADVISORY COMMITTEE <br />The City of Hugo has been notified by the Rice Creek Watershed District that it is seeking <br />applicants for the Citizen Advisory Committee. This Advisory Committee is made up of citizen <br />volunteers who review issues and district policy and make recommendations to the Board of <br />Managers. Any residents interested in serving on the Advisory Committee should contact the <br />RCWD or the City of Hugo for more information. <br />RESIDENT COMMENTS <br />Jess Roush, 4776 126th Street North, addressed the Council on issues related to the <br />Comprehensive Plan and obtaining information on City employees. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Haas made motion, Granger seconded, to adjourn at 9:35 p.m. <br />All ayes.
