Minutes for the Wednesday, May 28, 2008 @ 8:00 a.m. <br />Morning Staff & Command Meeting <br />@ Oneka City Hall in Oneka Room <br />The meeting was called to order at 8:26 a.m. by Acting Mayor Becky Petryk. <br />Present: Granger, Haas, Petryk, Puleo, Petryk <br />The meeting was facilitated by Fire Chief Jim Compton who provided an update on the <br />following: <br />1. Utility update <br />2. Damage Assessment — Bryan Bear <br />3. Debris Removal — One way w/ dumpster <br />4. Contractor Management <br />5. Donations <br />6. Volunteer Management - Committee <br />7. Stress Debriefing <br />8. Weather <br />Other item discussed were: <br />On-site sanitation was available; there were presently ten stations and ten more would be <br />added this weekend. <br />State of Emergency Declared by Governor frees up use of MnDot for free. <br />There would be a news conference @ 3:00 p.m. today by Mayor Myron and the Mayor <br />needed six talking points <br />Red Cross will pull out of community tonight, Wednesday. Red Cross will be available <br />remotely after today. <br />Salvation Army will continue to be here. <br />Long term recovery committee will be formed by community to follow through & follow <br />up. <br />Red Cross has a policy on how donations should be accepted and allocated by the City of <br />Hugo <br />Seth, Cindy, Nate — Volunteer Coordinators <br />National Recycling, Inc. was available for scrap metal removal. <br />
