Motion Carried. <br />DISCUSSION ON 2006 RUSHLINE CORRIDOR ANNUAL REPORT <br />As Council is aware, Council member Mike Granger is the City representative on the Rush Line <br />Corridor Commission. Mike advised Council to review the 2006 annual report for proposed projects <br />and activities in 2007. No formal Council action was taken. <br />DISCUSSION ON PROPOSED LEGISLATION ON LOCAL TRANSPORTATION SALES TAX <br />The City of Hugo received information from the League of Minnesota Cities and Metro Cities in regard <br />to proposed legislation on transportation funding in the 2007 legislation session. The League and Metro <br />Cities are urging cities to adopt a transportation funding resolution and to communicate directly with <br />legislators on the urgent need for road and transit improvements. Council discussed the proposed new <br />legislation on a metro -wide sales tax for transportation funding. <br />Miron made motion, Haas seconded, directing staff to send a letter to the City's legislative <br />representatives and include a copy of the LMC resolution with a request to address the need for <br />additional transportation funding dollars. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />UPDATE ON METROPOLITAN COUNCIL WATER SUPPLY COMMITTEE <br />Council member Haas is a member of this committee and provided Council with an update on the <br />committee's activities. <br />DISCUSSION ON NORTH WASHINGTON COUNTY SEPTIC DUMPING SITE <br />Council member Haas noted that he had a brief discussion with MCES official Keith Buttleman <br />regarding a north Washington County dumping site in the Forest Lake area and the letter that was sent to <br />the MCES regarding this issue. Council member Haas was pleased to report that they are willing to <br />continue discussions. <br />APRIL 22.2007 HUGO KIDZ `N BIZ FEST AT ONEKA ELEMENTARY <br />The Hugo Business Association, in cooperation with the Hugo Economic Development Authority and <br />The Citizen newspaper, will hold its 3`d Annual Hugo Kidz `n Biz Fest at the new Oneka Elementary <br />School on Sunday, April 22, 2007, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. This event is free to Hugo children and <br />families with a donation to the Hugo Food Shelf. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Haas made motion, Granger seconded, to adjourn at 8:55 pm. <br />All aye.
