City Council meeting of June 18, 2007 <br />Page 7 <br />MAY 23, 2007 PUBLIC OPEN HOUSE ON 2008 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br />CD Director Bryan Bear provided Council with an update on the outcomes from the third Open House held <br />Wednesday, May 23, 2007 for development of the City's 2008 comprehensive plan. There was a significant <br />increase in the number of attendees. The next open house is scheduled for Wednesday, June 20, 2007. The <br />Planning Commission has requested a joint Council/Planning Commission workshop to discuss the 2008 <br />comprehensive plan land use issues. <br />Miron made motion, Petryk seconded, to schedule a joint Council/Planning Commission workshop for July 19, <br />2007, 7:00 pm, to discuss 2008 comprehensive plan land use issues. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />JUNE 26.2007 ETHAN AVENUE NEIGHBORHOOD MEETING <br />On June 4, 2007, City Engineer Jay Kennedy reported to Council the discussions staff has had with residents <br />living on Ethan Avenue regarding the Oakshore Park public improvement project. Jay reported that he planned <br />on scheduling a meeting with neighbors in order to discuss the proposed reconstruction of Ethan Avenue. Staff <br />is pleased to report that a meeting with the Ethan Avenue neighborhood has been scheduled for Tuesday, June <br />26, 2007 at 7:00 pm in the Council chambers where Jay will provide information regarding the improvement <br />project, as shared with staff, as well as an open discussion with the neighbors. <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION — LITIGATION REGARDING MARVIN LAVALLE RIGHT OF WAY <br />ACQUISITION <br />Haas made motion, Miron seconded, to recess the regular meeting and go into executive session. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />RETURN TO REGULAR SESSION <br />Miron made motion, Haas seconded, to reconvene the regular City Council session. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />City Attorney Dave Snyder summarized the discussion held in the executive session regarding the Marvin and <br />Judy LaValle CR8 right of way litigation. <br />Miron made motion, Haas seconded, that the City of Hugo enter into a Settlement Agreement for acquisition of <br />LaValle right of way for CSAH8 and Oneka Parkway, in an amount not to exceed the amount awarded by the <br />commissioners. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />
