City Council meeting of July 16, 2007 <br />Page 2 <br />APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br />Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the claims roster for July 16, 2007 as presented. <br />APPROVE TEMPORARY ON -SALE LIQUOR LICENSE FOR JULY 21 AND AUGUST 26. <br />2007 (ST. JOHNS CHURCH) <br />St. John's the Baptist Catholic Church, 14323 Forest Boulevard North, applied for a temporary on -sale <br />liquor license to permit wine and beer to be served at the pig roast scheduled for July 21, 2007 and the <br />Fall Festival scheduled for August 26, 2007. City staff reviewed the application and found it to be <br />satisfactorily complete. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the application for a temporary on - <br />sale liquor license for St. John's the Baptist Catholic Church to serve wine and beer and its events on <br />July 21, 2007 and August 26, 2007, respectively. <br />APPROVE HARDWOOD CREEK TRAIL APPLICATION FROM WILSON TOOL FOR <br />AUGUST 115K FUN RUN. <br />Wilson Tool is requesting the use of the Hardwood Creek Trail for a 5K Fun Run scheduled for August <br />11, 2007. The run will begin at approximately 8 a.m. at Hugo City Hall, and the route will be along the <br />Hardwood Creek Trail, north to 150 Street and returning to City Hall. An application for use of the <br />trail was approved by Washington County Parks Division. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved <br />the request for use of the Hardwood Creek Trail for the Wilson Tool 5K Fun Run on August 11, 2007. <br />APPROVE ANNUAL PERFORMANCE REVIEW FOR PW DIRECTOR CHRIS PETREE <br />Chris Petree was hired by the City of Hugo on July 19, 1999, as the new Public Works Maintenance <br />Employee. Over the past eight years, Chris has worked diligently to help the City develop a Public <br />Works Department and construct a new public works facility. Chris demonstrates an excellent work <br />ethic and has excellent leadership skills. Chris's commitment and loyalty to the City of Hugo is second <br />to none and he is a valued member of the City Hall team. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the <br />annual performance review for Chris Petree. <br />APPROVE RESIGNATION OF DENISE BORGLUND FROM THE HUGO FIRE <br />DEPARTMENT. <br />At its meeting on June 18, 2007, the Council had appointed Denise Borglund as a probationary <br />firefighter on the Hugo Fire Department. Since then, Denise has decided she is unable to dedicate as <br />much time as would be needed to serve on the department. She has submitted her resignation and <br />thanked the Hugo Fire Department for the opportunity. Adoption of the Consent Agenda accepted the <br />resignation of Denise Borglund from the Hugo Fire Department. <br />APPROVE THE PURCHASE OF LINE STRIPER FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT <br />Included in the 2007 General Fund Budget is $7,500 for the purchase of a line striper for the Public <br />Works Department. This piece of equipment will be used for striping the municipal parking lots, turn <br />lanes, <br />
