Ms. Torno stated that a Hugo chapter would be organized when 20 individuals have joined. Miron made motion, Petryk seconded, to approve the Proclamation proclaiming October as Toastmasters Month in the City of Hugo. All aye. Motion Carried. DECLARATION OF MINNESOTA MANUFACTURERS WEEK IN THE CITY OF HUGO AND PRESENTATION OF PROCLAMATION (GERRY WENNER AND CLARICE OLSON FROM MNDEED) Governor Tim Pawlenty has declared the week of October 22-26, 2007 as Minnesota Manufacturers Week in the State of Minnesota. The City of Hugo is fortunate to have twenty manufacturers in the City, who provide hundreds of jobs with livable wages and pay thousands of dollars in property taxes. Gerry Wenner and Clarice Olson presented the Proclamation on behalf of Governor Pawlenty to Council and thanked them for its public support of the manufacturers in the City of Hugo. Mayor Fran Miron publicly thanked the representatives from MnDEED and publicly announced the twenty manufacturers in the City of Hugo, who provide excellent manufacturing jobs. Gerry presented staff with the 20 Proclamations signed by the Governor, which will be delivered or mailed to the businesses. Petryk made motion, Granger seconded, to approve the Proclamation proclaiming the week of October 22-26, 2007 as Minnesota Manufacturers Week in the State of Minnesota/City of Hugo. All aye.
