MINUTES FOR THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF DECEMBER 3, 2007 <br />Mayor Fran Miron called the meeting to order at 7:10 pm. <br />PRESENT: Granger, Haas, Petryk, Puleo, Miron <br />City Administrator Mike Ericson, CD Director Bryan Bear, City Attorney Dave Snyder, Finance <br />Director Ron Otkin, PW Director Chris Petree, Fire Chief Jim Compton, Fire Marshal Marty Schwartz, <br />and City Clerk Mary Ann Creager <br />City Engineer Jay Kennedy arrived at 8:10 pm. <br />APPROVE MINUTES FOR CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF NOVEMBER 15, 2007 RE 2008 <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br />Haas made motion, Petryk seconded, to approve the minutes for the November 15, 2007 meeting held to <br />discuss the proposed 2008 Comprehensive Plan as presented. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />APPROVE MINUTES FOR CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF NOVEMBER 19, 2007 <br />Haas made motion, Granger seconded, to approve the minutes for the November 19, 2007 meeting as <br />presented. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />APPROVE MINUTES FOR CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF NOVEMBER 20, 2007 RE 2006 <br />IBC AND FIRE MARSHAL REPORT <br />Haas made motion, Petryk seconded, to approve the minutes for the November 20, 2007 meeting held to <br />discuss the 2006 International Building Code and Fire Marshal Safety Report as presented. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />Move K.1 to F.1 — Presentation from Metro Cities Executive Director Louis Jambois <br />Add J.3 — Reconsideration of Recreational Vehicle Ordinance <br />Granger made motion, Haas seconded, to approve the agenda for December 3, 2007 as amended. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />DISCUSSION ON 2008 MINNESOTA STATE LEGISLATIVE SESSION (LOUIS JAMBOIS, <br />EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR. METRO CITIES) <br />City staff invited Louis Jambois, executive director from Metro Cities, to the December 3, 2007 Council <br />meeting in order to provide Council with an accurate snapshot and up-to-date report of the legislative <br />activities that will be discussed by the 2008 State Legislature. Mr. Jambois outlined the lobbying efforts <br />to be undertaken by Metro Cities at the 2008 legislature and thanked Council for its support. <br />
