City Council meeting of December 3, 2007 <br />Page 2 <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />Haas made motion, Petryk seconded, to approve the following Consent Agenda: <br />Approval of Claims <br />Approve Sale of Two City Pickup Trucks <br />Approve Annual Performance Review for Building Inspector Chuck Preisler <br />Approve Supplemental Law Enforcement Services Agreement for Bald Eagle Lake <br />Approve Final Acceptance of Public Improvements in the Victor Gardens North 3 Subdivision <br />Approve Final Acceptance of Public Improvements in Phases of the Waters Edge Subdivision <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />GENERAL CLAIMS <br />Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the claims roster for December 3, 2007 as presented. <br />APPROVE SALE OF TWO CITY PICKUP TRUCKS <br />At its November 5, 2007 meeting, Council authorized staff to advertise for the sale by sealed bid of the <br />1996 Ford Ranger pickup and the 1996 Chevrolet 3500 4X4 pickup w/ plow. PW Director Chris Petree <br />opened bids on Tuesday, November 27, 2007 and the results were as follows: the City received one bid <br />for the 1996 Chevrolet 3500 4X4 pickup w/ plow from National Recycling, Inc. for $3,800 (min. bid <br />was $3,000) and the City received 3 bids for the 1996 Ford Ranger pickup with the high bid coming <br />from A-1 Walsh, Inc. for $1,378 (min. bid $1,000). Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the sale <br />of the 1996 Chevrolet 3500 4X4 pickup w/ plow to National Recycling, Inc. in the amount of $3,800 and <br />the 1996 Ford Ranger pickup to A-1 Walsh, Inc. in the amount of $1,378. <br />APPROVE ANNUAL PERFORMANCFE REVIEW FOR BUILDING INSPECTOR CHUCK <br />PREISLER <br />Chuck Preisler was hired by the City on November 29, 2004 as the City's new building inspector. Over <br />the past three years, Chuck has worked hard, demonstrating an excellent work ethic and excellent <br />customer skills in working daily with builders, contractors, and residents. Chuck is an excellent building <br />inspector, who works well both with the building department and the City Hall team. Chuck also serves <br />as backup firefighter, using his more than 15 years of service on the Scandia Fire Department to provide <br />backup for the City when necessary. Chuck is an excellent communicator and thorough inspector <br />reflecting a high level of competence in completion of his building inspector duties. Adoption of the <br />Consent Agenda approved the annual performance review for building inspector Chuck Preisler. <br />APPROVE SUPPLEMENTAL LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES AGREEMENT FOR BALD <br />EAGLE LAKE <br />For many years, the City has participated in supplemental law enforcement coverage on Bald Eagle <br />Lake. The coverage is from January 1 to December 31, 2008 that includes a total not to exceed 160 <br />hours for winter patrol coverage, at a cost of services to the City for year 2008 not to exceed $1,600. <br />
