City Council meeting of May 15, 2006 <br />Page 4 <br />APPROVE LAWFUL GAMBLING PERMIT FOR HFD RELIEF ASSN FOR GOOD <br />NEIGHBOR DAYS <br />The Hugo Fire Department Relief Association has made application to the City for a lawful gambling <br />permit to conduct bingo at Hugo Good Neighbor Days, scheduled for June 8-11, 2006. City staff has re- <br />viewed the application and found it to be satisfactorily complete. Adoption of the Consent Agenda ap- <br />proved the lawful gambling permit for the HFD Relief Association to conduct bingo at the GND, June 8- <br />11,2006. <br />APPROVE PURCHASE OF FLOOR SCRUBBER FOR FIRE HALL <br />For the past few years, the HFD as cleaned their apparatus bay area with garden hoses and brooms in an <br />effort to have a clean floor. Fire Chief Jim Compton and the HFD have researched other methods to <br />provide a satisfactory level of cleaning service, including the use of a subcontractor. Included in its 2006 <br />budget, the HFD budgeted for a floor scrubber to be used by department personnel to clean the apparatus <br />bay area. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the purchase of a Tennant Floor Scrubber, Model <br />5400, at a price of $8,455. <br />APPROVE ANNUAL PERFORMANCE REVIEW FOR PW WORKER RICK KIEFFER <br />Rick Kieffer was hired back by the City on May 31, 2005. Rick returned to the City after working for a <br />private contractor, after the conditions of employment were changed. Rick is an excellent worker with <br />an excellent work ethic and strong loyalty to the Hugo PW Department. Adoption of the Consent <br />Agenda approved the annual performance review for public works work Rick Kieffer. <br />APPROVE APPLICATION FROM TDS/STOCKNESS FOR CUP AND SrM PLAN IN BEIP <br />The applicant is proposing an amendment to the current Conditional Use Permit he has for the property <br />located on the south side of Fenway Boulevard Circle, east of Fenway Boulevard, in the Bald Eagle In- <br />dustrial Park. The applicant has also submitted a site plan to construct a 19,240 square foot office ware- <br />house building on the east side of a 4.16 acre parcel. There will be two phases, phase one will be the <br />construction of the 19,240 square foot building and phase two will be the construction of a future build- <br />ing approximately 8,000 square feet. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved adoption of Resolution <br />2006-24 approving a site plan and amendment to the CUP for TDS/Stockness in the BEIP. <br />APPROVE CUP FOR SERMAC AMERICA FOR MOTOR VEHICLE SALES IN BEIP <br />Sermac America has a lease agreement with Frederick Suess to occupy the building in Bald Eagle Indus- <br />trial Park formally known as White Bear Electric at 13483 Fenway Boulevard Circle North. Sermac <br />America does not plan to modify the property in any way as they occupy the building. The applicant is <br />requesting approval of a CUP to construct and sell an average of 2 truck mounted concrete pumps a <br />month at this location. This includes temporary dealer plates to drive the units to the weigh scale as well <br />as to drive the units to the customer's final destination. In order to provide the above mentioned tempo- <br />rary license plates Sermac America is required to obtain a dealers license in the state on Minnesota. <br />Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved adoption of Resolution 2006-25 approving a CUP for Sermac <br />American for a motor vehicle sales in the BEIP. <br />
