Motion Carried. <br />DISCUSSION ON "BIG BOX" DEVELOPMENT <br />Council member Haas requested that this item be added to the agenda to determine whether Council has <br />interest in developing regulations that would limit the ability of a "big box" store from locating in Hugo. <br />CD Director Bryan Bear stated that there is nothing in the City code to prevent this type of development <br />and suggested that it be controlled by the City through the City's Comprehensive Plan, which is now <br />undergoing revision. <br />Miron made motion, Granger seconded, to table this issue for discussion during revision of the City's <br />Comprehensive Plan. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />ONEKA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PLAYGROUND INSTALLATION ON JUNE 23 AND 24, <br />2006 <br />City staff announced to Hugo residents and the public that there is still a volunteer opportunity to <br />participate in the installation of the playground equipment at Oneka Elementary School. Any residents <br />interested in participating can contact the school or City Hall. Council took no formal action. <br />DISCUSSION ON MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT W/MNDNR FOR JD2 <br />City Attorney Dave Snyder provided Council with an update on the revisions to the draft MOA, as <br />directed by Council members Puleo and Granger. This issue will be placed on a Council agenda <br />sometime in July 2006. <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION - RIGHT-OF-WAY ACQUISITION COSTS FOR CSAR 8/14 ROAD <br />PROJECT <br />Miron made motion, Haas seconded, to recess the regular meeting and go into executive session. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />City Attorney Dave Snyder provided Council with an update on the Washington County Board of <br />Commissioners' hearing regarding appraisal costs for the right-of-way acquisition for the CSAH 8/14 <br />project. <br />
