MINUTES FOR HUGO CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF JULY 17, 2006 Mayor Fran Miron called the meeting to order at 7:05 pm. PRESENT: Granger, Haas, Petryk, Puleo, Miron City Administer Mike Ericson, CD Director Bryan Bear, City Engineer Jay Kennedy, City Attorney Dave Snyder, Finance Director Ron Otkin, City Planner Kendra Lindahl, and City Clerk Mary Ann Creager APPROVE MINUTES FOR CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF JULY 5, 2006 Haas made motion, Petryk seconded, to approve the minutes for the July 5, 2006 meeting as presented. All aye. Motion Carried. APPROVE MINUTES FOR CITY COUNCIL EXECUTIVE SESSION OF JULY 5, 2006 Haas made motion, Petryk seconded, to approve the minutes for the July 5, 2006 Executive Session as presented. All aye. Motion Carried. APPROVAL OF AGENDA Add G. I I — Temporary On -Sale 3.2 Beer License for Wilson Tool Picnic (Hugo Lions Club) Add K.1— Discussion on Letter from Vince Niemczyk Regarding JD2 Add K.2 - Discussion on Maintenance of City Sidewalks Add L.1— Schedule Date for Council/City staff NIMS Training Haas made motion, Granger seconded, to approve the agenda for July 17, 2006 as amended. All aye. Motion Carried. INTRODUCTION OF PETE CRUM, CANDIDATE FOR WASHINGTON COUNTY SHERIFF Pete Crum introduced himself to Council as a candidate for Washington County Sheriff. He is currently a St. Paul Police Officer who resides in Scandia. He thanked Council for the opportunity to introduce himself to the City of Hugo. PRESENTATION OF 2005 ANNUAL CITY AUDIT (JASON MILLER WITH SMITH SCHAFER & ASSOCIATES) Finance Director Ron Otkin has been working for the past several months with auditors from Smith Schafer & Associates on the 2005 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. Jason Miller from Smith Schafer and Associates made a PowerPoint presentation on their findings. Miron made motion, Granger seconded, to accept the 2005 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. All aye. Motion Carried.
