City Council meeting of February 7, 2005 <br />Page 4 <br />APPROVE REGULAR MEETING DATE CHANGE FOR COUNCIL AND EDA TO <br />FEBRUARY 22, 2005 <br />Each year, Council is presented with the President's Day holiday, which is the third Monday in February. <br />Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the 2°d regular meeting date of the month for February, for <br />both Council and the EDA, for Tuesday, February 22, 2005 at 7:00 pm. <br />APPROVE APPOINTMENT OF BRONWEN KLEISSLER AS VICE CHAIR OF THE <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />At its January 3, 2005 meeting, Council reappointed Sandy Malaski to the Planning Commission and <br />also as Vice Chair. Council directed staff to advertise for the future vacancy, since Sandy did not seek a <br />reappointment to the PC. The closing date for applications was January 31, 2005. Adoption of the <br />Consent Agenda approved the appointment of Bronwen Kleissler as the new Planning Commission Vice <br />Chair for 2005. <br />APPROVE CHARITABLE GAMBLING LICENSE FOR THE NATIONAL ATAXIA <br />FOUNDATION AT RICCI'S <br />The National Ataxia Foundation made application for approval of a charitable gambling license to sell <br />pull tabs at Ricci's. City staff reviewed the application and found it to be satisfactorily complete. <br />Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the charitable gambling license for the National Ataxia <br />Foundation to sell pull tabs at Ricci's, 14777 Forest Boulevard. <br />APPROVE AWARD OF BID TO MECHANICAL CONTRACTORS FOR HVAC ANNUAL <br />MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT FOR CITY FACILITIES <br />PW Director Chris Petree solicited bids for the annual maintenance for the HVAC mechanical systems <br />for the three City facilities, City Hall, Fire Hall, and the new public works facility. Adoption of the <br />Consent Agenda approved the award of bid to Snell Mechanical, Inc. for the annual maintenance <br />agreement for the mechanical systems for the City's facilities in the amount of $6,075. <br />APPROVE AUTHORIZATION TO PREPARE AND RECEIVE RFP'S FOR PARK MASTER <br />PLAN UPDATE <br />At its January 12, 2005 meeting, the Parks Commission discussed the City's Park Master Plan, which <br />was completed in 1998. An update of the parks master plan has been included as one of the goals of the <br />Parks Commission for the past two years. Further research and review of the plan revealed that there is a <br />substantive change in the scope, contact, and direction of the 1998 plan. Adoption of the Consent <br />Agenda authorized staff to prepare and receive Request for Proposals for an update to the City's 1998 <br />Parks Master Plan. <br />Schifsky & Sons submitted pay request #3 for final payment on work completed on Bald Eagle Industrial <br />
