City Council meeting of March 7, 2005 <br />Page 2 <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />Haas made motion, Puleo seconded, to approve the following Consent Agenda: <br />Approval of Claims <br />Approve Award of Bid for Asphalt Patching Trailer for PW Department <br />Approve Award of Bid for Mower and Trailer for PW Department <br />Approve Application for Monument Sign at Fenway Place (Kettler/Pratt) <br />Approve Variance for Oversized Garage at 12823 Greystone Avenue North (Hidden Hills) <br />Approve Reduction in Letter of Credit from Centex Homes (Heritage Ponds) <br />Approve Reduction in Letter of Credit from Emmerich Development (Diamond Point West) <br />Approve Appointment of Tom Weidt to the Hugo Planning Commission <br />Approve Submittal of FEMA Grant Application for 1800mhz. radios. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br />Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the claims roster for March 7, 2005 as presented. <br />APPROVE AWARD OF BID FOR ASPHALT PATCHING TRAILER FOR PW DEPT. <br />Included in the 2005 general fund budget is $18,000 for the purchase of an asphalt patching trailer for <br />the PW Department. This item is available for purchase through the state contract. Adoption of the <br />Consent Agenda approved the purchase of an asphalt -patching trailer from Stepp Manufacturing in the <br />amount of $15,783.30, which is consistent with pricing and purchasing available through the State <br />contract. <br />APPROVE AWARD OF BID FOR MOVER AND TRAILER FOR PW DEPARTMENT <br />Included in the 2005 general fund budget is $20,000 for the purchase of a mower and trailer. These <br />items will be used to maintain City parks and boulevards, as well as City facilities. Staff is still working <br />on the specifications for the trailer and will bring that item back to Council at their next regular meeting. <br />Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the purchase of a Toro Z500 series mower w/attachments <br />from the Hugo Feed Mill in the amount of $10,334.18 <br />APPROVE VARIANCE FOR MONUMENT SIGN AT FENWAY PLACE (I ETTLER/PRATT) <br />Kettler Construction and Pratt Homes have requested approval to construct a four -foot high monument <br />sign within the right-of-way on 141" Street North for the Fenway Place development. The sign would <br />be located in a center traffic island, which is within the public right of way. The center island was <br />designed for the placement of a monument sign, such that it would not interfere with traffic sight lines. <br />The monument sign and the landscaping of the center island would be maintained by the Fenway Place <br />Home Owners Association. The Board of Zoning Adjustments considered this matter at its meeting of <br />February 24, 2005 and unanimously recommended approval of the variance request. <br />
