APPROVE RESOLUTION SUPPORTING TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENTS (REGIONAL COUNCIL OF MAYORS) The City of Hugo has been solicited by the Regional Council of Mayors to support transportation improvements in the Twin Cities metro area. Haas made motion, Miron seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 2005-31 REQUESTING LEGISLATIVE ACTION FOR A LONG-TERM SOLUTION FOR TRANSPORTATION NEEDS IN THE STATE OF MINNESOTA. VOTING AYE: Granger, Haas, Petryk, Puleo, Miron Motion Carried. MAY 20, 2005 MEETING ON DOWNTOWN PLAN WITH PLANNING COMMISSION At its April 18, 2005 meeting, Council scheduled a workshop for May 20, 2005 at 8:30 am, in order to discuss the downtown redevelopment and architectural design standards. CD Director Bryan Bear presented this issue to the Planning Commission at its May 12, 2005 meeting, at which they expressed interest in attending. City staff wishes to announce that the PC and members of the EDA will be attending the workshop in a joint meeting fashion in the Hugo City Hall Oneka Room. MAY 26, 2005 AMM ANNUAL MEETING City staff seeks Council direction as to its interest in attending the Association of Metropolitan Municipalities annual meeting on Thursday, May 26, 2005. Council member Haas and City Administrator Mike Ericson will be attending the meeting. ADJOURNMENT Haas made motion, Granger seconded, to adjourn at 9:50 pm. All aye. Motion Carried.
