City Council meeting of lune 20, 2005 <br />Page 7 <br />JUNE 21.2005 AT 9 AM WITH SENATOR NORM COLEMAN'S OFFICE <br />City staff received notification from Senator Norm Coleman's office that they would like to hold a town <br />hall style meeting at Hugo City Hall on Tuesday, June 21, 2005 at 9:00 am. City staff will be in <br />attendance, hopefully along with available Council members and residents. Mayor Miron made a public <br />announcement for the benefit of Hugo residents. Council will recess tonight's meeting to allow <br />attendance. <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br />City Attorney Dave Snyder stated that the following litigated matters will be discussed by Council in <br />executive session: purchase of right-of-way for Oneka Parkway; four Peloquin Industrial Park <br />assessment appeals; and Oneka Development vs. the City of Hugo. <br />Haas made motion, Petryk seconded, to recess the regular meeting to go into executive session to discuss <br />current litigated matters. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />REGULAR SESSION <br />City Attorney Dave Snyder provided a brief summary of Council discussion regarding the Peloquin <br />Industrial Park assessment appeals. <br />Miron made motion, Haas seconded, to accept the settlement proposal from Fred Riermann for the <br />Peloquin Industrial Park assessment appeal in the amount of $182,500 to be paid immediately. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Miron made motion, Granger seconded, to accept the settlement proposal from RJM, LLC for the <br />Peloquin Industrial Park assessment appeal in the amount of $288,000, interest reduced from 6% to 2%, <br />interest only payments for two years. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Miron made motion, Petryk seconded, to deny the Peloquin Industrial Park assessment appeal from <br />Glamos Family Limited Partnership and consider a Council representative meet a Glamos family <br />member to further discuss this matter. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Miron made motion, Haas seconded, to deny the Peloquin Industrial Park assessment appeal from Dean <br />and Ruby Atkinson. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />
