MINUTES FOR THE RECESSED MEETING OF SEPTEMBER 19, 2005 <br />Acting Mayor Becky Petryk reconvened the September 19, 2005 meeting at 8:00 am. <br />PRESENT: Granger, Petryk, Puleo, Miron (Mayor Miron arrived at 8:25 am) <br />City Administrator Mike Ericson, CD Director Bryan Bear, City Attorney Dave Snyder, and City Clerk <br />Mary Ann Creager <br />ABSENT: Chuck Haas <br />REVIEW OF ED KIEGER'S CUP AT 165' STREET AND TH61 <br />In May, 2003, the City Council approved an amendment to the CUP for property owned by Kieger <br />Enterprises located at 5885 165' Street North. As a condition of approval, the CUP is to be reviewed <br />after an initial two-year period with a four- year review period thereafter. Staff inspected the property on <br />September 14, 2005 and found it to be in compliance with the CUP. Council questioned whether what, <br />if any, business was being conducted at the site. Staff had recommended Council renew the CUP for <br />5885 165d' Street North for four years. <br />Granger made motion, Puleo seconded, to table this matter until October 3, 2005. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />City Council meeting of September 19, 2005 <br />Page 7 <br />DISCUSSION OF WILDERNESS VIEW 2"D CONCEPT PLAN <br />Redstone Homes is requesting a PUD sketch plan review of "Wilderness View Second Addition" <br />consisting of 67 single family homes on property located west of Goodview Avenue and south of 130th <br />Street. The Planning Commission reviewed the sketch plan at their September 8th meeting and provided <br />comments to the applicant. Staff recommended Council review and discuss the sketch plan and provide <br />the applicant with informal comments. CD Director Bryan Bear provided a PowerPoint presentation <br />with an overview of the proposed project. (MAYOR MIRON ARRIVED AT 8:25 PM). Council <br />reviewed the sketch plan and expressed the following concerns: 1) setback of buildings from existing <br />cell tower; 2) location of pipeline on site; 3) bay homes too close together; and 4) why the need for a <br />PUD, nothing offered in return. Sam Ashkar from Redstone Homes thanked Council for their time and <br />stated that he will continue to work with staff on this matter. No formal Council action was taken. <br />SCHEDULE WORKSHOP FOR DISCUSSION OF MULTI -FAMILY DESIGN GUIDELINES <br />At its September 6, 2005 meeting, Council accepted the Proposal for Professional Services from <br />Landform for development of design guidelines for multi -family housing. <br />Miron made motion, Granger seconded, to schedule a joint Council/Planning Commission workshop for <br />Monday, October 24, 2005, at 7:00 pm, to discuss development of the design guidelines for multi -family <br />housing. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />
