MINUTES FOR THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF OCTOBER 17, 2005 <br />Mayor Fran Miron called the meeting to order at 7:05 pm. <br />PRESENT: Granger, Haas, Petryk, Puleo, Miron <br />CD Director Bryan Bear, City Attorney Dave Snyder, City Engineer Jay Kennedy, and City Clerk Mary <br />Ann Creager <br />MINUTES FOR CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF OCTOBER 3, 2005 <br />Puleo made motion, Granger seconded, to approve the minutes for the October 3, 2005 meeting as <br />amended. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />Move M.1 to H.3 - Schtowchan Lawsuit against MnDNR <br />Remove G.3 and GA from Consent Agenda for Discussion <br />Miron made motion, Granger seconded, to approve the agenda for October 17, 2005 as amended. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />DONATION OF HUGO ROLLING WALKERS TO SENIOR CITIZENS (AMY SOLOMON <br />AND LYN BROOKS) <br />For the past several months, staff has been in discussions with the manufacturers of the Hugo Rolling <br />Walkers, and representatives from the company are flying in from New York to make an official <br />presentation to the City of Hugo and Hugo senior citizens. Company representatives, Amy Solomon, <br />and spokesperson tri -athlete Lyn Brooks, were in attendance to donate fifteen Hugo Rolling Walkers, <br />which will be made available to senior citizens for use on a temporary to long-term basis. They will also <br />donate some canes and a make a cash donation for Hugo senior citizens. On behalf of the City Council, <br />Mayor Fran Miron accepted the generous donation from the Hugo Rolling Walkers Company and <br />publicly thanked them for their kind gesture to the City of Hugo and the Hugo senior citizens. Vi <br />Maslowski and Grace Waugh accepted the $500 gift on behalf of the senior citizens. <br />Miron made motion, Haas seconded, proclaimed October 17, 2005 as "Hugo Days" in the City of Hugo. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />Granger made motion, Petryk seconded, to approve the following Consent Agenda: <br />Approval of Claims <br />Approve Annual Performance Review for Building Department Secretary (Eileen Ottney) <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />
