MINUTES FOR THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF OCTOBER 17, 2005 Mayor Fran Miron called the meeting to order at 7:05 pm. PRESENT: Granger, Haas, Petryk, Puleo, Miron CD Director Bryan Bear, City Attorney Dave Snyder, City Engineer Jay Kennedy, and City Clerk Mary Ann Creager MINUTES FOR CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF OCTOBER 3, 2005 Puleo made motion, Granger seconded, to approve the minutes for the October 3, 2005 meeting as amended. All aye. Motion Carried. APPROVAL OF AGENDA Move M.1 to H.3 - Schtowchan Lawsuit against MnDNR Remove G.3 and GA from Consent Agenda for Discussion Miron made motion, Granger seconded, to approve the agenda for October 17, 2005 as amended. All aye. Motion Carried. DONATION OF HUGO ROLLING WALKERS TO SENIOR CITIZENS (AMY SOLOMON AND LYN BROOKS) For the past several months, staff has been in discussions with the manufacturers of the Hugo Rolling Walkers, and representatives from the company are flying in from New York to make an official presentation to the City of Hugo and Hugo senior citizens. Company representatives, Amy Solomon, and spokesperson tri -athlete Lyn Brooks, were in attendance to donate fifteen Hugo Rolling Walkers, which will be made available to senior citizens for use on a temporary to long-term basis. They will also donate some canes and a make a cash donation for Hugo senior citizens. On behalf of the City Council, Mayor Fran Miron accepted the generous donation from the Hugo Rolling Walkers Company and publicly thanked them for their kind gesture to the City of Hugo and the Hugo senior citizens. Vi Maslowski and Grace Waugh accepted the $500 gift on behalf of the senior citizens. Miron made motion, Haas seconded, proclaimed October 17, 2005 as "Hugo Days" in the City of Hugo. All aye. Motion Carried. CONSENT AGENDA Granger made motion, Petryk seconded, to approve the following Consent Agenda: Approval of Claims Approve Annual Performance Review for Building Department Secretary (Eileen Ottney) All aye. Motion Carried.
