City Council meeting of February 17, 2004 <br />Page 5 <br />Miron made motion, Granger seconded, to schedule a Council meeting on March 17, 2004 at 12 noon <br />to attend a bridge dedication for the new Fable Hill subdivision. Staff was directed to provide Len <br />with a list of selected attendees. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />CD DIRECTOR POSITION <br />City Administrator Mike Ericson reported that staff is still researching references for the candidates. <br />Council agreed to appoint a committee to interview candidates, who were not selected for final <br />interviews. <br />Miron made motion, Petryk seconded, to appoint Mayor Fran Miron, Council member Mike Granger, <br />Administrative Intern Tom Denaway, and City Administrator Mike Ericson to interview 2-3 <br />candidates, who are out-of-state applicants. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />HFD YELLOW ROTATING LIGHTS IN PERSONAL VEHICLES <br />Fire Chief Jim Compton reported that a firefighter received a citation from a State Patrol Officer for <br />the yellow rotating lights on his personal vehicle while responding to a fire call. He requested support <br />from the Council to fight the ticket and to. reaffirm the City policy, which allows the lights. City <br />Attorney Dave Snyder shared with Council the history of the policy and the variation the State Patrol <br />has in its interpretation of State Statute. After discussion by Council: <br />Miron made motion, Granger seconded, directed the City Attorney to send a letter to the State Patrol <br />providing the purpose regarding the policy as a safety measure and to dismiss the ticket through the <br />court system. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />PELOQUIN INDUSTRIAL PARK PROJECT (LAMETTI CHANGE ORDER) <br />City Attorney Dave Snyder provided Council with an update on the Change Order, which has been <br />requested by Lametti & Sons for work completed to date on the Peloquin Industrial Park project. <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br />Haas made motion, Petryk seconded, to recess the Council meeting and move into executive session to <br />discuss the Peloquin Industrial Park Improvement project as it relates to the Lametti & Sons Change <br />Order. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />
