City Council meeting of February 2, 2004 <br />Page 2 <br />SNOWMOBILE REGULATIONS <br />Because of the recent snow storm, Council reviewed with Public Works Director Chris Petree the City's <br />efforts to plow City streets and current snowmobile regulations. It was suggested that a brief synopsis of <br />these regulations be printed in the City's Newsletter. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />Haas made motion, Petryk seconded, to approve the following Consent Agenda: <br />Approval of Claims <br />Transfer of On -sale Liquor License and Related Licenses (Ricci's) <br />Authorize Purchase of Tandem Axle Plow Truck for Public Works <br />Authorize Advertisement for Bids for New Public Works Facility Site Work <br />Approve February 17, 2004 as Council Regular Second Meeting of the Month <br />Approve Charitable Gambling License for Indianhead Scouting at Wild Wings <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br />Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the claims roster for February 2, 2004 as presented. <br />TRANSFER OF ON -SALE LIQUOR LICENSE AND RELATED LICENSES (RICCI'S) <br />Bo Bogatty, owner of Ricci's bar and restaurant, has sold his business to Duane and Janice Reil <br />Consistent with City code and state statute, Duane and Janice are required to have a complete liquor <br />license background investigation to allow the transfer of the on -sale liquor license. Washington County <br />Sheriffs Department has completed its work and found Duane and Janice to be owners with a <br />satisfactory background investigation. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the transfer of the on - <br />sale liquor license and all related licenses from Bo Bogatty dba as Ricci's bar and restaurant to Duane <br />and Janice Reil. <br />AUTHORIZE PURCHASE OF TANDEM AXLE PLOW TRUCK FOR PUBLIC WORKS <br />At its January 20, 2004 meeting, Council authorized City staff to prepare specifications for the new <br />tandem plow truck for the public works department. PW Director Chris Petree has completed the work <br />on the specifications, which are consistent with the State of Minnesota bid process. Chris would like to <br />proceed with the ordering of the new tandem plow truck to be used for the winter of 2004-2005. <br />Purchase of the new truck is consistent with the 2003-2007 capital improvements program. Finance <br />Director Ron Otkin has reviewed the purchase and recommends funding from the City's general fund <br />reserves. Adoption of the Consent Agenda authorized the purchase of the tandem axle plow truck in the <br />amount of $134,550. <br />
