MINUTES FOR THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF JULY 6, 2004 <br />Mayor Fran Miron called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. <br />PRESENT: Granger, Haas, Petryk, Puleo, Miron <br />City Administrator Michael Ericson; CD Director Bryan Bear; City Planner Kendra Lindahl; City <br />Attorney Dave Snyder; PW Director Chris Petree; Fire Chief Jim Compton; Assistant Chief Jadon <br />011ila; and City Clerk Mary Ann Creager <br />TRI -CITIES COALITION MEETING OF MAY 20, 2004 <br />Haas made motion, Petryk seconded, to approve the minutes for the Tri -Cities (aka I-35 W/E) Coalition <br />meeting of May 20, 2004 as presented. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF JUNE 21, 2004 <br />Haas made motion, Granger seconded, to approve the minutes for the Council meeting of June 21, 2003 <br />as presented. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />Add F.3 — Accept $1,000 Donation from Todd Jones to the HFD <br />Move I.3 to F.4 — HBA Proposal for Youth Activities <br />Add new H.3 — Discussion of Oneka Elementary School Fitness/Gymnasium Proposal <br />Miron made motion, Haas seconded, to approve the agenda for July 6, 2004 as amended. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />PRESENTATION OF DONATION FROM THE HUGO AMERICAN LEGION TO THE HUGO <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />The HFD recently received a $2,500 donation from the Hugo American Legion, which will be used to <br />purchase CPR equipment. The HFD will begin teaching CPR classes to the residents of Hugo starting in <br />August 2004. On behalf of the Hugo City Council, Mayor Fran Miron accepted the donation from John <br />Thomas, representing the Hugo American Legion, and publicly thanked them for their generous <br />contribution to the HFD. <br />PRESENTATION OF DONATION FROM THE DEAD BROKE SADDLE CLUB TO THE <br />HUGO FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />The Dead Broke Saddle Club recently made a $3,000 donation to the HFD. This donation will be used <br />to purchase a water rescue boat, which will be used in emergency situations on the lakes and ponds in <br />the City. This is in addition to the $2,500 donation given the HFD to purchase the water rescue <br />equipment needed to start this endeavor. On behalf of the Hugo City Council, Mayor Fran Miron <br />
