City Council meeting of July 6, 2004
Page 8
Puleo made motion, Haas seconded, to table this matter for further consideration.
All aye. Motion Carried.
LETTER FROM BOARD CHAIR OF DISTRICT MEMORIAL HOSPITAL
Mayor Fran Miron received a letter from Mike Perreault, chairman of the Board of District Memorial
Hospital. The City is one of the constituent municipalities of the district, which in 1995, conveyed
control of the hospital facility to Fairview Hospital. In effect, the district took on the role of landlord,
with Fairview being the tenant. It now appears that Fairview will exercise its option to acquire title to
the hospital facility, effective January 1, 2006. He states that although there is quite a bit of time
remaining prior to a formal decision, the Board does want to make certain inquiries as to the plan of
action. Mr. Perreault requested Council table action on this issue.
Miron made motion, Haas seconded, to table this matter until notification from Mike Perrault.
All aye. Motion Carried.
VACANCY ON BROWN'S CREEK WATERSHED DISTRICT
City staff received notification from Washington County that there is a vacancy on the BCWD. Mayor
Fran Miron publicly announced that any and all individuals interested in the vacancy should contact City
Hall for an application form. No formal Council action was taken.
ADJOURNMENT
Granger made motion, Haas seconded, to adjourn at 9:58 pm.
All aye. Motion Carried.
Mary Creager
City k
