The sign costs $10,000, and would be a pilot program for the <br />county in order to solicit transportation habits of drivers. The cost of the sign would be borne by <br />Washington County. CR 8, going eastbound, was selected as one of the pilot program sites for the <br />project. <br />Miron made motion, Petryk seconded, to cooperate in the driver feedback sign proposal with <br />Washington County. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />DISCUSSION ON PROPOSED LANDSCAPE ORDINANCE <br />The Planning Commission expressed a desire to reexamine the landscaping requirements in the Land <br />Use Regulations. Staff met with Council member Puleo and Commissioner Malaski to identify <br />proposed changes. Staff incluuic ed a su n maty of proposed changes for Council review ani recommended <br />that the Council direct staff to schedule a public hearing at the Planning Commission regarding the <br />proposed ordinance amendment. <br />Miron made motion, Puleo seconded, to table this matter until September 7, 2004. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />CSAH 8/14 OPEN HOUSE ON MONDAY, AUGUST 30.2004 <br />Washington County officials have scheduled a final Open House for the CSAH 8/14 improvement <br />project for Monday, August 30, 2004, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Oneka Room at Hugo City Hall. <br />City staff requested attendance from Council, and further, whether to schedule this as a public meeting if <br />three or members of the Council will be in attendance. <br />THANK YOU LETTER TO WASHINGTON COUNTY BOARD ON ASSESSING <br />Council member Becky Petryk and City Administrator Mike Ericson attended the Tuesday, August 10, <br />2004 Washington County Board meeting at the request of Council. Becky addressed the Board <br />regarding the proposed countywide assessing, which had been identified as one of the County Board's <br />2004 goals. Becky requested that this item be placed on the agenda in order to discuss a proposed <br />"thank you' letter to the Washington County Board members regarding their desire to allow <br />communities to maintain their local assessors. <br />Miron made motion, Haas seconded, directing staff to send the letter to the Washington County Board. <br />All aye.
