City Council meeting of October 18, 2004 <br />Page 6 <br />Miron made motion, Puleo seconded, to schedule a town hall style meeting for rural residents in order to <br />present the final report of the Rural and Open Space Committee on Thursday, November 18, 2004 at <br />7:30 pm. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />SCHEDULE COUNCIL WORKSHOP FOR CSAH 8/14 FEASIBILITY STUDY <br />At its August 16, 2004 meeting, Council directed City Engineer Jay Kennedy to prepare a feasibility <br />study for the construction of municipal services for the CSAH 8/14 realignment project. Jay completed <br />his work and would like to present the information at a workshop. <br />Miron made motion, Haas seconded, to schedule a Council workshop for Wednesday, November 3, <br />2004 at 8:45 am, to discuss the feasibility study for the construction of municipal services for the CSAH <br />8/14 realignment project. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />REQUEST TO SUBMIT APPLICATION FOR METRO GREENWAY WILDLIFE GRANT <br />City staff received a grant application from the MnDNR for projects that would be useful and viable in <br />the City for preservation of wildlife corridors and greenways. <br />Miron made motion, Haas seconded, directing staff to place this matter on the Parks Commission agenda <br />for November 10, 2004. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />REQUEST FOR NO PARKING SIGNS ON 130TH STREET NEAR LONG LAKE <br />Washington County transportation engineer officials requested approval from Council for the installation <br />of no parking signs on the county road immediately north and adjacent to Long Lake. Although the sign <br />request was made to Washington County directly, they would like formal Council authorization and <br />approval for installation of the no parking signs. <br />Miron made motion, Haas seconded, directing staff to prepare a resolution that would approve and <br />authorize the Washington County Highway Department to install no parking signs on 130'' Street near <br />Long Lake. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />DISCUSSION OF LOT HOLD AGREEMENT FOR LOT 1. BLOCK 1. BEIP 5TH ADDITION <br />The Lot Hold Agreement with Jim Faulkner for the construction of an office building on Lot 1, Block 1 <br />in the BEIP 5'h Addition has expired. Several months ago, Mr. Faulkner presented to Council the option <br />of constructing a 34,000 sq ft building with a potential major tenant. Jim has met several times with the <br />
