City Council meeting of November 1, 2004 Page 7 DISCUSSION OF ONEKA LAKE PARK Council member Puleo had been contacted by a Hugo resident regarding a possible drainage problem at the newly constructed Oneka Lake Park. PW Director Chris Petree stated that he would monitor the situation. CITIZEN REQUEST Council member Haas stated that he had been contact by John Peloquin regarding whether his purchased easements should include interest. Miron made motion, Haas seconded, directing staff to provide Council with the list of easements, including proposed interest payments to the date of completion of the Peloquin Industrial Park Project. This issue will be placed on the November 15, 2004 Council agenda. All aye. Motion Carried. UPDATE ON OCTOBER 26.2004 EDA MEETING On Tuesday, October 26, 2004, the newly -created Hugo Economic Development Authority held its first meeting. Commission members shared their appreciation for being selected by Council, as well as their excitement to be a part of the City's newest commission, which will be working very closely on economic development activities in the City. City staff provided a brief update and recap on the meeting, as well as suggested direction from the EDA regarding its interest in support of Washington County's CDBG grant program, which was explained at the Council's workshop on Monday, October 25, 2004 at the Hugo Fire Hall. The EDA voted to meet the 3`d Monday of each month at 8:30 am. No formal Council action was taken. RCWD NOVEMBER 10, 2004 PUBLIC HEARING Haas made motion, Granger seconded, to schedule a special Council meeting for November 10, 2004, 7:00 pm, at the Shoreview City Council Chambers, to allow the Hugo City Council to attend a public hearing on the proposed engineering plans for the rehabilitation of Hardwood Creek/JD2.
