MINUTES FOR THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF DECEMBER 20.2004 Mayor Fran Miron called the meeting to order at 7:05 pm. PRESENT: Granger, Petryk, Puleo, Miron City Administrator Mike Ericson; CD Director Bryan Bear; City Attorney Dave Snyder; City Engineer Jay Kennedy; Water Resource Engineer Pete Willenbring; PW Director Chris Petree; and City Clerk Mary Ann Creager ABSENT: Chuck Haas MINUTES FOR THE JOINT COUNCIL/PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING OF NOVEMBER 18.2004 Granger made motion, Petryk seconded, to approve the minutes for the joint City Council/Planning Commission meeting of November 18, 2004 as presented. All aye. Motion Carried. MINUTES FOR THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF DECEMBER 6.2004 Petryk made motion, Granger seconded, to approve the minutes for the City Council meeting of December 6, 2004 as presented. All aye. Motion Carried. MINUTES FOR THE BUDGET WORKSHOP OF DECEMBER 17.2004 Puleo made motion, Granger seconded, to approve the minutes for the City Council budget workshop of December 17, 2004 as presented. VOTING AYE: Grange, Puleo, Miron ABSTAINED: Petryk Motion Carried. APPROVAL OF AGENDA Add L.1 — Date change for second Council meeting in January 2005. Miron made motion, Granger seconded, to approve the agenda for December 20, 2004 as amended. All aye. Motion Carried. APPROVE 2005 CITY BUDGET AND TAX LEVY (FINANCE DIRECTOR RON OTKIN) At its September 7, 2004 meeting, Council reviewed staff's proposed 2005 City budget and tax levy. After a Power Point presentation by Finance Director Ron Otkin, Council held budget workshops on November 19, 2005 and December 17, 2004 in order to provide staff direction as to a thorough analysis and review of the proposed tax levy for 2005. At its December 6, 2004 meeting, Council held its Truth - in -Taxation public hearing, at which staff made its Power Point presentation and Mayor Fran Miron
