City Council meeting of December 20, 2004 <br />Page 2 <br />opened the public hearing. No resident spoke, and the only other person who spoke was Julie Williams <br />from the WB Counseling Center. City staff recommended Council adopt the proposed 2005 City budget <br />and adopt the attached resolutions thereby setting the City's 2005 tax levy at $3,225,530. <br />Petryk made motion, Granger seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 2004-88 APPROVING THE <br />GENERAL FUND BUDGET FOR THE 2005 FISCAL YEAR AT $2,835,931. <br />VOTING AYE: Granger, Petryk, Puleo, Miron <br />Motion Carried. <br />Petryk made motion, Granger seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 2004-89 APPROVING THE FINAL <br />TAX LEVY PAYABLE IN 2005 AT $3,225,530. <br />VOTING AYE: Granger, Petryk, Puleo, Miron <br />Motion Carried. <br />Miron made motion, Granger seconded, directing staff to schedule a mid -year meeting to discuss a <br />market analysis of City employee salaries. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />Granger made motion, Puleo seconded, to approve the following Consent Agenda: <br />Approval of Claims <br />Approve Resolution Certifying Delinquent Utility Bills <br />Approve Extension of Internship for Administrative Intern <br />Approve Pay Request #1 from North Valley, Inc. for Work Completed on 132nd Street <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br />Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the claims roster for December 20, 2004 as presented. <br />DELINQUENT UTILITY ACCOUNTS <br />Annually, the finance department reviews all delinquent utility bills, which are the result of nonpayment <br />or underpayment of water and sewer utility bills. In accordance with City ordinance, Council is required <br />to adopt a resolution to certify delinquent utility bills in order that they be placed on the property tax <br />statements for collection. There are a total of 69 residents and property owners who have not paid their <br />outstanding utility bill, which under City policy, must be certified to the property rolls. Adoption of the <br />Consent Agenda approved adoption of Resolution 2004-90 certifying delinquent utility bills for <br />placement on property tax statements from Washington County. <br />
