City Council meeting of January 6, 2003 <br />Page 7 <br />CSAH 8/14 REALIGNMENT MEETING SCHEDULE <br />As per the CSAH 8/14 realignment project schedule, public meetings will be held in Hugo in the next <br />two months to solicit comments fiom residents regarding the realignment options for the county road. <br />Council member Chuck Haas requested that Council schedule two workshops at which the Council <br />could fully consider and deliberate the realignment options. <br />Miron made motion, Puleo seconded, directing staff to schedule a meeting in late January 2003, as well <br />as an additional meeting on February 10, 2003 if needed, for Council discussion of CSAH 8/14 <br />realignment. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />HUGO LIONS CLUB "WELCOME TO THE CITY" SIGNS <br />The Hugo Lions have made a request to the City for approval of replacement signs that welcome people <br />to the City of Hugo and announce Good Neighbor Days it June. The Lions specific request is that the <br />Hugo Lions, the Hugo Business Association, and the City share the cost of the replacement signs <br />equally. Lions Club member Mike Gallivan and Katie Riopel from the Hugo Business Association were <br />present at the meeting to make this presentation on behalf of the Hugo Lions Club. Mayor Miron <br />complimented the Lions Club on their worthwhile efforts in the community. <br />Miron made motion, Haas seconded, allocating $715 fiom the City park fund as the City's share for the <br />"Welcome to Hugo" replacement signs. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />CITY COUNCIL GOAL SETTING SESSION <br />Each year, the Council schedules a goal setting session to establish the Council's goals for the upcoming <br />year. This exercise is an opportunity for Council to work with staff to identify and establish priorities <br />for the year and to fiuther direct staffs time on these projects. <br />Miron made motion, Petryk seconded, to schedule a 2003 goal setting session for Monday, January 13, <br />2003, at 7:30 pm. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />RCWD ADVISORY COMMITTEE <br />Steve Hobbs, RCWD Administrator, has sent notification to the City soliciting residents who may be <br />interested in serving the RCWD Advisory Committee. This volunteer position is an opportunity for <br />local residents to be involved in water resource issues that are relevant and important to the City and the <br />RCWD. Mayor Fran Miron made this public announcement and solicited any and all interested <br />individuals who may wish to serve on this committee. No formal Council was required. <br />
