City Council meeting of March 3, 2003 <br />Page 7 <br />Haas made motion, Granger seconded, to table this matter until the Council meeting of March 17, 2003. <br />VOTING AYE: Granger, Haas, Petryk, Puleo <br />VOTING NAY: Miron <br />Motion Carried. <br />APPROVE CONCEPT PLAN FOR HUSSEIN & KARIM (PROPERTY ON GOODVIEW <br />AVENUE <br />The applicants requested an opportunity to appear before the City Council to solicit informal comments on a <br />sketch plan for a proposed housing development. The development would be located southwest of the <br />intersection of 132°d Street and Goodview Avenue (13194 Goodview Avenue North). One of the applicants, <br />Heshan Hussein, currently resides on the property. The concept plan includes 24 new lots plus a lot for the <br />existing single-family home on this 10 -acre lot, with a density of 2.5 units per acre. The Council discussed <br />the proposal and agreed that the development lacks "creativity". The applicants will meet with CD Director <br />John Rask to redesign the plan. No further Council action was required. <br />REQUEST FROM NORTHSIDE CONSTRUCTION FOR MUNICIPAL SERVICES <br />Richard Mireault, president of Northside Construction, requested that the City extend municipal services <br />to his business at 15057 Forest Boulevard. As Council is aware, Mr. Mireault's application for an <br />addition on his building was approved last fall in preparation for new tenants, and he is desirous of <br />municipal services. <br />Moo made motion, Granger seconded, directing the City Engineer to provide information regarding this <br />request, along with preliminary cost figures, for consideration at the Council meeting of March 17, 2003. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />REQUEST FROM HUGO HISTORICAL COMMISSION FOR BUDGET TRANSFER <br />At its December 16, 2002 meeting, the Council adopted an ordinance thereby creating the Hugo <br />Historical Commission, whose job it will be to preserve and protect the history of the City of Hugo. <br />Commission Chair Kitty Cheesebrow presented a draft budget at that Council meeting, but the full <br />amount had not been included in the City's 2003 budget. Because of the reductions at the meeting in <br />December, staff recommended an allocation of $500 for 2003. The Commission unanimously <br />recommended that the Council restore the additional $1,500 to their budget for 2003 in order to make <br />purchases. City staff recommended give strong consideration to the reallocation of City funds to transfer <br />funds in the amount of $1,500 to the Historical Commission. <br />Miron made motion, Granger seconded, directing staff to make an internal budget transfer to fully fund <br />the requested budget of $1,500. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />
