On June
21, 1999, the City rezoned the subject properties from Agricultural to General Business (C-2) and Urban
Residential. Both these zoning districts require the properties to be within the MUSA; however, the MUSA
line was never adjusted in 1999 to include the parcels. State law requires consistency between a city's
zoning map and the MUSA line. The Planning Commission reviewed this request at three separate meetings
in April and May of this year and recommended approval by a unanimous vote. Staff recommended Council
approve the MUSA line adjustment as outlined in the attached report from CD Director John Rask. This
adjustment would bring the City's zoning map and Comprehensive Plan into conformance with state law.
Granger made motion, Haas seconded, to approve the MUSA line adjustment to bring the City's zoning map
and Comprehensive Plan into conformance with state law.
VOTING AYE: Granger, Haas, Petryk, Miron
ABSTAINED: Puleo
Motion Carried.
CULVERT REPLACEMENT ON 165f STREET
Council member Puleo asked that staff take a look at the condition of 165" Street adjacent to the culvert
replacement.
