City Council meeting of December 15, 2003 <br />Page 2 <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />Haas made motion, Granger seconded, to approve the following Consent Agenda: <br />Approval of Claims <br />Approve Refuse Hauler Licenses for 2004 <br />Adopt Resolution Approving Liquor Licenses for 2004 <br />Approve January 15, 2004 Meeting for LCMR Grant/Hardwood Creek Residents <br />Approve Variance for Septic System from Sunset Lake (Robert Olson) <br />Approve Variance for Accessory Building (Tim Stockness) <br />Approve Recognition of Mike Loeffler for Successful Water & Wastewater Operator License <br />Approve Donation from Len Pratt to the Hugo Fire Department <br />Approve Lawful Gambling Permit (American Legion) <br />Approve Donation from Como Lube to the Hugo Fire Department <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br />Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the claims roster for December 15, 2003 as presented. <br />APPROVE REFUSE HAULER LICENSES FOR 2004 <br />The City has seven refuse haulers, who provide refuse and recycling services. The haulers are: <br />Maroney's Sanitation; DoAll Service; Ace Solid Waste; MN Waste Management; SRC, Inc.; Gene's <br />Disposal; and BFI Waste Services. City staff has received renewal applications from all seven haulers, <br />and they have paid their annual fee of $155. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the issuance <br />of refuse haulers licenses for 2004 to the seven firms listed. <br />APPROVE RESOLUTION APPROVING LIQUOR LICENSES FOR 2004 <br />In December each year, Council reviews renewal of liquor licenses for the upcoming year. The City <br />currently has twelve liquor licenses available, with five applications received for the licenses: <br />Blacksmith Lounge; Carpenter's; Oneka Ridge Golf Course; Ricci's; and Woody's. The End Zone <br />liquor license has not been applied for. Approval of liquor licenses is subject to receipt of all the <br />necessary applications and related fees. Adoption of the Consent Agenda adopted Resolution 2003-64 <br />and approved the issuance of liquor licenses for 2004 for the five businesses listed. <br />APPROVE JANUARY 15, 2004 MEETING FOR LCMR GRANT/HARDWOOD CREEK <br />At its December 1, 2003 meeting, Council agreed to schedule a meeting with Hardwood Creek <br />residents for Thursday, December 18, 2003 in order to provide them with an opportunity to discuss the <br />LCMR grant. Council agreed to schedule this date if notice could be provided in the City's <br />Newsletter. Staff reviewed the printing schedule and discovered that the newsletter would be <br />distributed the day after the proposed meeting date, and requested that Council selectanotherdate. <br />
