City Council meeting of June 17, 2002 <br />Page 5 <br />VOTING AYE: Granger, Petryk, Puleo, Miron <br />Motion Carried. <br />LETTER FROM MNDNR CONCERNING JD2 WORK PLAN <br />City staff received a copy of a letter from the DNR to the RCWD related to the JD2 work plan and its <br />concern that the RCWD has petitioned itself for the repair of JD2. <br />Miron made motion, Granger seconded, directing staff to send a letter to the DNR stating the City's <br />pleasure that they are in support of the JD2 repair project. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />LOMR LETTER FROM FEMA FOR CLEARWATER CREEK <br />FEMA has sent a letter to Pete Willenbring, the City's Water Resource Engineer from WSB Engineers, <br />regarding the letter of map revision (LOMR) to the flood insurance rate map and flood boundary <br />floodway map for the area in and around Clearwater Creek. As Council is aware, Pete submitted a <br />significant amount of information to FEMA to change the floodplain elevations for the area, and now <br />FEMA is requesting the completion of 13 additional items before it will approve the LOMR and change <br />the floodplain elevations. Pete was present at the meeting to discuss this issue with the Council. No <br />Council action was necessary for this matter. <br />WEST ONEKA LAKE STUDY <br />CD Director John Rask presented an update on the West Oneka Lake Study. Pete Willenbring from <br />WSB Engineers was present as well to share with Council the work involved in this study. City Engineer <br />Dave Mitchell, John Rask, and Pete Willenbring met with Army Corps of Engineers officials and other <br />agencies on Monday, June 10, 2002 to discuss this study. Pete stated that he has been in contact with the <br />three large property owners in an attempt to obtain a financial agreement with them for project costs. <br />The City received a copy of a letter sent by James and Diane Weber to the Army Corps of Engineers <br />expressing their fear that Oneka Lake would be drained as a result of this project. Pete assured the <br />Council that this would not happen. No Council action was necessary for this matter. <br />APPROVE FINAL PLAT FOR WILDERNESS VIEW SUBDIVISION <br />At its March 18, 2002 meeting, the City Council approved the preliminary plat for Wilderness View for 11 <br />single-family lots on approximately 6.3 acres of this 104.3 -acre site. The final plat contains 11 single-family <br />lots that meet all of the requirements of the R-3 zoning district. Staff reviewed the final plat and found it to <br />be in substantial agreement with the approved preliminary plat. Staffrecommended the Council approve the <br />final plat and development agreement for Wilderness View. <br />Puleo made motion, Granger seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 2002-27 APPROVING FINAL PLAT AND <br />DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT FOR THE WILDERNESS VIEW SUBDIVISION. <br />VOTING AYE: Granger, Petryk, Puleo, Miron Motion Carried. <br />
