City Council meeting of May 21, 2001
Page 7
COUNTY AERIAL AND TWO FOOT CONTOUR MAPPING
City Engineer Dave Mitchell presented this issue at a staff level and presented it to the Council for
consideration and approval for necessary mapping within the City. The cost for mapping 16 square
miles that would include the MUSA and urban reserve area would be $ 17,600. The City could not
require developers to pay for the data, but could require the developer to provide on their own. The
Council discussed possible ways to pay for the mapping, including it as a budget item, a capital
improvements item, or require the developer to provide.
Miron made motion, Puleo seconded, to table this matter to allow staff time to provide a funding
source and possible ways to recoup the cost.
All aye.
