City Council meeting of September 17, 2001 <br />Page 5 <br />RFP FOR WATER RESOURCE ENGINEER <br />At its annual review of contract employees, the past Council reviewed the services of Pete Willenbring <br />of WSB, as the City's Water Resource Engineer. The past Council indicated its interest in reviewing the <br />performance of WSB Engineers in late summer 2001, and its desire to prepare a Request for Proposals <br />for a Water Resource Engineer's services in the fall 2001. City staff will have it's performance review of <br />the Water Resource Engineer prepared shortly, with that information to be shared with City Council. <br />CD Director John Rask stated that the RFP should include Hugo as the Local Government Unit for <br />drainage within the community. <br />Miron made motion, Petryk seconded, directing staff to schedule a performance review for the Water <br />Resource Engineer with the City Council and to go out for RFP's for a Water Resource Engineer's <br />services. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />AUTHORIZATION TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR CITY HALL FURNITURE AND <br />EQUIPMENT AND COUNCIL CHAMBER AUDIOVISUAL EQUIPMENT <br />Staff has met with vendors for the past several months to develop a layout and design for the furniture <br />and equipment for the new City Hall, as well as for the audio/visual equipment for the Council <br />chambers. Public notice of the advertisement would be placed in the White Bear Press for the next 10 <br />days, and reviewed by Council at its first or second meeting in October. <br />Granger made motion, Petryk seconded, authorizing staff to prepare the advertisement for bids for the <br />new City Hall furniture and equipment, and audio/visual equipment for the Council chambers. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />WATER GOVERNANCE STUDY COMMITTEE REPORT <br />John Waller advised the Council as to the activities of the Water Governance Study Committee. <br />LAND USE WORKSHOP <br />Miron made motion, Petryk seconded, to schedule a joint land use workshop with the Planning <br />Commission for Saturday, December 1, 2001, Hugo City Hall, from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />RECESS <br />Haas made motion, Granger seconded, to recess tonight's meeting at 10:00 pm until 6:30 pm, September <br />20, 2001, at the Washington County Fairgrounds (Hooley Hall) to discuss rural issues. <br />All Saye.
