City Council meeting of October 15, 2001 <br />Page 2 <br />APPROVAL OF PAY REQUEST FROM LANDMARK STRUCTURES (WATER TOWER <br />NO. 3) <br />Landmark Structures submitted its pay request No. 3 for work completed to date on the new 1.5 <br />million gallon City water tower. City Engineer Dave Mitchell reviewed the pay request and <br />recommended Council approve payment in the amount of $206,843.50. Adoption of the Consent <br />Agenda approved payment to Landmark Structures in the amount of $206,843.50 for work <br />completed to date on water tower No. 3. <br />APPROVAL OF PAY REQUEST FROM RICHARD KNUTSON (PELOOUIN INDUSTRIAL <br />PAR <br />Richard Knutson, Inc., requested approval of pay request No. 1 for work completed to date on the <br />Peloquin Industrial Park P.I. Project. City Engineer Dave Mitchell reviewed the pay request and <br />recommended Council approve payment in the amount of $228,878.74. Adoption of the Consent <br />Agenda approved payment of Richard Knutson, Inc., in the amount of $228,878.74 for work <br />completed to date on the Peloquin Industrial Park P.I. Project. <br />APPROVAL OF SIGN PERMIT (LAKE AREA BANK) <br />The Hugo City Council approved the remodeling and addition to the 61 Stop for a new bank, and <br />Lake Area Bank made application to the City for a sign permit. City staff reviewed the sign permit <br />application and found it to be consistent with City code. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved <br />the sign permit application for Lake Area Bank located at the 61 Stop. <br />APPROVAL OF SIGN PERMIT BURDETTE BERNTSON) <br />Burdette Berntson made application to the City for a sign permit to allow him to install a <br />freestanding sign at his office building located immediately adjacent to The End Zone bar. City staff <br />reviewed the sign permit application and found it to be consistent with City code. Adoption of the <br />Consent Agenda approved the sign permit application for Burdette Berntson at 13845 Forest Blvd. <br />AUTHORIZE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR WELL NO.4 <br />Earlier this summer, Council approved the sale of utility revenue bonds to pay for the design and <br />engineering for well No. 4, and City Engineer Dave Mitchell would like authorization from Council <br />to advertise for bids for well No. 4. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved and authorized staff <br />to advertise for bids for the construction of well No. 4. <br />APPROVAL OF CHARITABLE GAMBLING LICENSE FOR ST. JOHN'S CHURCH <br />St. John the Baptist Church, 14383 Forest Blvd., made application for a charitable gambling license <br />to conduct a turkey bingo at their site on 11/17/01. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the <br />charitable gambling license as requested and waives the 30 -day waiting period. <br />
