City Council meeting of December 17, 2001 Page 2 Miron made motion, Petryk seconded, to set the agenda for December 17, 2001 as amended. All aye. Motion Carried. MARC HUGUNIN (METROPOLITAN COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVE) Metropolitan Council representative Marc Hugunin was present at the Council meeting to make the public announcement of the Metropolitan Council's award of the $50,000 rainwater garden grant for the new Hugo City Hall site. Met Council met on December 5, 2001 and reviewed the grant application from the City and agreed that the storm water infiltration project is a very worthwhile project for our new City Hall site, and will serve as a pilot project demonstration site for the area On behalf of the Council, Mayor Miron thanked Marc for all his support. BOB RUSSEK (CITY HALL ARCHITECT) City Hall architect Bob Russek was present at the Council meeting to provide an update to the Council on the construction of the new City Hall. ASSISTANT FIRE CHIEF APPOINTMENTS Fire Chief Jim Compton recommended the appointment of Greg Burmeister as I' Assistant Chief and Jadon 011ila as 2°d Assistant Chief. Miron made motion, Petryk seconded, to accept the recommendation of the Fire Chief and appoint Greg Burmeister as 0 Assistant Chief and Jadon 011ila as 2°d Assistant Chief of the Hugo Fire Dept. CONSENT AGENDA Miron made motion, Haas seconded, to approve the following Consent Agenda: Approval of Claims Renewal of Refuse Haulers Licenses Approve Amendment to Architect's Agreement Accept Resignation of Parks Commissioner and Advertise for Vacancy Substantial Completion for Pineview Meadows 2"d Addition Request for Payment from Landmark Structures (Water Tower No. 3) Accept Resignation of Building Inspector Probationary Period for Deputy City Clerk/Receptionist Request for Payment from Municipal Builders (Pump house for Well No. 3) All aye. Motion Carried. APPROVAL OF CLAIMS Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the claims for December 17, 2001 as presented.
