City Council meeting. of December 17, 2001 <br />Page 3 <br />RENEWAL OF REFUSE HAULERS LICENSES <br />Each December, the Council reviews the applications for the renewal of refuse haulers licenses. As <br />Council is aware, there are seven haulers in the City: MN Waste Management; Gene's Disposal; Hugo <br />Sanitation; Maroney's Sanitation; Ace Solid Waste; DoAll Service; and E -Z Recycling. Adoption of <br />the Consent Agenda approved renewal of the licenses for the seven refuse haulers. <br />APPROVE AMENDMENT TO ARCHITECT'S AGREEMENT <br />As Council is aware, Council approved an Architectural Agreement with ESG Architects and Robert <br />Russek at 2.41 % of the original construction bid of $1,326,333 for the architectural inspection services <br />for the new City Hall. There have been a number of additional services provided to the City that have <br />enhanced and made for a better City Hall. Each of the improvements has created a better value for the <br />citizens of Hugo. City architect Bob Russek has asked for Council authorization for approval of 56 <br />additional hours to bring the project to final completion. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved an <br />amendment to the Architect's Agreement and authorized the additional payment in an amount not to <br />exceed $5,880. <br />ACCEPT RESIGNATION OF PARKS COMMISSIONER AND ADVERTISE FOR VACANCY <br />Nancy Chelmo announced her resignation from the City's Parks Commission. Standard City policy <br />indicates Council must accept the resignation of the Parks Commissioner and authorize staff to <br />advertise for the vacancy, with interviews at a later date by the Council. Adoption of the Consent <br />Agenda accepted the resignation of Nancy Chelmo from the Parks Commission and publicly thanked <br />her for her years of dedicated service to the City of Hugo. Staff will advertise for the vacancy in the <br />usual manner. <br />SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION FOR PINEVIEW MEADOWS 2ND ADDITION <br />The developer for the Pineview Meadows 2°a Addition made application to the City for a substantial <br />completion certification. City Engineer Dave Mitchell reviewed the completion of the public <br />improvements to date and found them to be substantially complete. Adoption of the Consent Agenda <br />approved the substantial completion for the public improvements for Pineview Meadows 2°a Addition. <br />REQUEST FOR PAYMENT FROM LANDMARK STRUCTURES (WATER TOWER NO.31 <br />Landmark Structures submitted its request for payment for work completed to date on water tower No. <br />3. City Engineer Dave Mitchell reviewed the pay request and recommended Council authorize payment <br />in the amount of $152,686.38. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the payment to Landmark <br />Structures in the amount of $152,686.38. <br />RESIGNATION OF BUILDING INSPECTOR <br />Building Inspector Kevin Hopp submitted a verbal resignation to the City on December 12, 2001. <br />Adoption of the Consent Agenda accepted Kevin Hopp's resignation from employment with the City of <br />Hugo effective 12/12/01. <br />
