City Council meeting of January 18, 2000 <br />Page 2 <br />SUPPLEMENTAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGREEMENT <br />The Council considered a Supplemental Law Enforcement Agreement between the City of <br />Hugo, Ramsey County, and White Bear Township to provide additional law enforcement <br />patrol on Bald Eagle Lake during the 1999/2000 -winter season. The expected cost of this <br />program to the City of Hugo is $998.25, and is an item included in the City's budget. <br />Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the City entering into the Agreement. <br />FINAL ESTIMATE (FENWAY BOULEVARD) <br />The Council considered a letter from Tom Angus, former City Engineer, recommending <br />final payment for the Fenway Boulevard construction project. The City will retain a one- <br />year performance bond to guarantee the contractor's work. Adoption of the Consent <br />Agenda approved final payment in the amount of $80,676.94 to Richard Knutson, Inc., for <br />construction of Fenway Boulevard. <br />FINAL PAYMENT/ACCEPTANCE OF IMPROVEMENTS (130 H1140 H <br />RAILROAD CROSSINGS <br />The Council considered a letter from Tom Angus, former City Engineer, recommending <br />final payment and acceptance of improvements for the 130*/140* Streets railroad crossings. <br />Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved final payment to North Valley, Inc., in the <br />amount of $10,297.82. <br />Barnes made motion, Haas seconded, to approve the Council minutes for January 3, 2000 <br />as amended. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Stoltzman made motion, Petryk seconded, to approve the claims for January 18, 2000, after <br />deleting payment of $17,400 for purchase of the Jaws of Life. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT APPOINTMENTS (CHIEF AND ASSISTANT CHIEFS) <br />Mayor Stoltzman recommended that the following Fire Department appointments be made <br />for the year 2000: Fire Chief, Joe McMahon; 1" Assistant Chief, Jim Compton; and 2nd <br />Assistant Chief, Greg Burmeister. <br />Stoltzman made motion, Leroux seconded, to make the following appointments for the year <br />2000: Fire Chief, Joe McMahon; 1" Assistant Chief, Jim Compton; and 2' Assistant <br />Chief, Greg Burmeister. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />
