City Council meeting of April 3, 2000 <br />Page 6 <br />Stoltzman made motion, Barnes seconded, to accept the cost estimate of $82,994.72 for the MCES to <br />oversize the sewer main for the Centerville lift station. A "thank you" letter is to be sent to MCES for <br />their efforts in reducing Hugo's cost for the oversizing. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />MAINTENANCE WORKER <br />Staff has recommended that the City Council approve advertising for a full-time employee to work on <br />City utilities, streets, and grounds. A proposed notice for this position and job description was <br />provided to the Council for their review. As the City's part-time maintenance worker has recently <br />resigned, this would be a good time to transition this position to a full- time employee as planned for <br />in the City's year 2000 utility budget. <br />Leroux made motion, Haas seconded, to advertise for a full-time employee to work on City utilities, <br />streets, and grounds. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />132ND STREET (SCOPE OF WORK) <br />The Council considered a Scope of Work, prepared by the City Engineer, to prepare a report on the <br />feasibility of improving 132"d Street, east of Goodview Avenue, at an estimated cost of $6,500.00. <br />Stoltzman made motion, Haas seconded, to accept the Scope of Work to prepare a feasibility report <br />for improvements to 132nd Street, at a cost of $6,500. <br />Voting AYE: Haas, Leroux, Petryk, Stoltzman <br />ABSTAINED: Debra Barnes <br />Motion Carried. <br />PELOQUIN INDUSTRIAL PARK (SCOPE OF WORK) <br />The Council considered a Scope of Work, prepared by the City Engineer, to revise a feasibility report <br />for the extension of municipal utilities and improvement of the streets in the Peloquin Industrial Park, <br />at an estimated cost of $4,500.00. <br />Leroux made motion, Barnes seconded, to accept the Scope of Work to revise a feasibility report for <br />the extension of improvements in the Peloquin Industrial Park, at a cost of $4,500. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR <br />The Council considered a proposal from Sathe & Associates to conduct an executive search for a <br />Community Development Director/Planner for the City of Hugo. Sathe & Associates will perform <br />this work for the City, in accordance with the Scope of Work, for the lump -sum payment of $15,000. <br />
