City Council meeting of May 1, 2000 <br />Page 5 <br />VOTING NAY: Beck Petryk <br />Motion Carried. <br />DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT (TOWNHOMES OF BALD EAGLET <br />Barnes made motion, Leroux seconded, to table discussion of the matter until the Council meeting <br />of May 15, 2000, to allow the developer and staff to work out details of the document. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Mike Black stated that the old 130' Street will need to be vacated. <br />PROPOSED SLAUGHTER HOUSE ORDINANCE (CALL FOR PUBLIC HEARINGI <br />The City Attorney prepared a draft Slaughter House Ordinance, and suggested that the City <br />Council refer it to the Slaughter House Committee for review with a final recommendation to the <br />Council. Secondly, the Council should call a public hearing for the May 15 Council meeting to <br />take public comment on the proposed ordinance. <br />Barnes made motion, Petryk seconded, to schedule a public hearing for May 15, 2000, at 7:00 pm, <br />to consider the draft ordinance regulating slaughter houses in the City. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />AUTO DISMANTLING LICENSE (AUTOMOTIVE RECYCLING KOMPANYI <br />Daniel Stewart applied for a license to dismantle vehicles at his location at 16813 Highway 61. <br />The City Attorney provided a CUP signed by Norman Horton for the Stewart property. Mr. <br />Stewart will need to provide a $25,000 bond to complete the CUP requirements. The City <br />Administrator stated that he had contacted Washington County, and Mr. Stewart is in compliance <br />with their requirements. <br />Leroux made motion, Stoltzman seconded, to approve the Auto Dismantling License for Daniel <br />Stewart to dismantle vehicles at 16813 Forest Boulevard, subject to Mr. Stewart providing a <br />$25,000 bond. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />PROPOSED ACQUISITION OF BERNIN PROPERTY <br />Council member Deb Barnes met with the Bernins and members of the Parks Commission <br />regarding the City's interest in the Bernins' 21 -acre parcel of land next to Oneka Lake. <br />Specifically, the Parks Commission would like the City to purchase the land for a comprehensive <br />regional park including a fishing pier on the lake. The Council should direct staff to solicit <br />another appraisal on the property and secondly, decide whether a concept plan should be prepared <br />by WSB. <br />
