City Council meeting of May 16, 2000
Page 3
Systems requesting they prepare a no -cost study of the emergency signals needed/located in the
City.
All aye. Motion Carried.
COUNCIL WORKSHOP — PELOOUIN INDUSTRIAL PARK
Staff has completed an update to the feasibility report for proposed sewer and water utility
improvements to serve Peloquin Industrial Park. Funding of the project has historically been a
contentious issue. Prior to presenting the updated report to the property owners, and conducting a
public hearing, staff wishes to review the project with Council and discuss funding of the project.
The goal of the discussion would be to establish a funding plan for the project. Staff would then
meet with affected property owners to present the project and proposed funding prior to holding a
public hearing. Staff would like to hold the public information meeting in June, and schedule the
public hearing for the first meeting in July. The Council agreed to meet on June 12, 2000, 7:00
pm, to discuss this matter.
APPLE VALLEY TOUR
The City Council accepted a request to tour the water treatment facility in Apple Valley. The City
Administrator will contact Council members individually to coordinate a date for the tour.
WENZEL FARMS UTILITY SERVICE
Staff has been approached by the developer of Wenzel Farms to determine the possibility of
serving the Wenzel Farms development with water from the City of Hugo rather than the City of
Lino Lakes. The developer has indicated willingness to "front" the money necessary to extend the
water main from the vicinity of the LaValle farm to the development. Staff will provide the
developer with pressure and flow information available from the current system. The developer
will determine the viability of being served from the City of Hugo at this time. There was no
formal action taken on this matter.
RECESS
Haas made motion, Leroux seconded, to recess tonight's meeting at 10:20 pm until May 30, 2000,
at 7:00 pm, to meet in executive session to discuss the Seng Lee litigation.
All aye. Motion Carried.
)te &&7v
Maryreager
City CI
