City Council meeting of October 30, 2000 <br />Page 2 <br />County Board for consideration to serve on the RCWD: Pete Pedersen, Dave Buller, Fran Miron, and <br />Jim Leroux. <br />VOTING AYE: Barnes, Haas, Petryk, Stoltzman <br />ABSTAINED: Leroux <br />Motion Carried. <br />CLEARWATER CREEK 3RD ADDITION AND THE USE OF ELMCREST AVENUE <br />Community Development Director, John Rask, provided a brief update to Council on the City of Lino <br />Lakes Clearwater Creek 3'd Addition development, and the use of Elmcrest Avenue by the Lino Lakes <br />residents in the subdivision, who use both Otter Lake Road and Elmcrest Avenue to exit and entrance <br />into the subdivision. There are a total of 456 single-family lots in the subdivision. Council directed <br />staff to review its records back to 1994, and determine if there is a legal responsibility for the City of <br />Lino Lakes to notify Hugo. <br />BERNIN PROPERTY <br />Council member, Deb Barnes, added this item to the October 16, 2000 Council agenda, and due to time <br />restrictions, this issue was not discussed. Mr. and Mrs. Bernin have two purchase proposals for their 22 - <br />acre parcel of land - one proposal from a developer, and one proposal from the City of Hugo. Staff has <br />been in contact with the attorney for the Bernins, and they have been privately weighing out both <br />purchase proposals as to which would be most beneficial to them. <br />Leroux made motion, Barnes seconded, directing staff to work with Bob Briggs from the City <br />Attorney's office, and the Bernins, to review and compare proposals, and make a new offer with a <br />reappraisal of the property. <br />VOTING AYE: Barnes, Leroux, Petryk <br />VOTING NAY: Stoltzman <br />ABSTAINED: Haas <br />Motion Carried. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Stoltzman made motion, Barnes seconded, to adjourn at 9:25 pm. <br />All aye.
