City Council meeting of November 6, 2000 <br />Page 7 <br />APPROVING FINDINGS OF FACT FOR REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 12010 <br />KEYSTONE AVENUE. <br />VOTING AYE: Barnes, Haas, Leroux, Petryk, Stoltzman <br />Motion Carried. <br />SCHEDULE BUDGET WORKSHOP WITH CITY COUNCIL <br />Annually each year, the Council schedules a final budget workshop session, to discuss with staff, the <br />finalization of the coming year's budget. In September 2000, the Council approved a preliminary <br />budget, and certified a tax levy to the State, which will be used in public notices for the City's Truth <br />in Taxation public hearing. The Council should select a budget workshop meeting to allow staff to <br />provide the latest revenue projections, along with the recommendations from City Council as to any <br />changes for the final adoption of the budget in December. <br />Leroux made motion, Petryk seconded, to schedule a 2001 budget workshop for November 20, 2000, <br />at 6:00 pm. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />APPROVAL OF PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR HOUSE (a, 14593 FOREST BLVD. <br />City staff was informed that the owner of the house at 14593 Forest Blvd., had passed away, and that <br />her children may be interested in selling their home to the City. City staff met with the oldest brother, <br />and along with the City Attorney's office, negotiated a Purchase Agreement for the home and <br />property whereby the three children will continue to live in the home and rent from the City. <br />Barnes made motion, Leroux seconded, to approve the Purchase Agreement for the house at 14593 <br />Forest Blvd., at a cost of $115,000, and authorize staff to proceed with a closing for the property, and <br />enter into a Lease Agreement with the three children who will then rent from the City. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />REQUEST TO REMOVE STOP SIGN Q) HADLEY AVENUE AND HADLEY CIRCLE <br />Bob Bilotta, property owner of the landscape business called The Garden, contacted the City with a <br />request to remove the stop sign on Hadley Avenue. Mr. Bilotta specifically requested that the City <br />remove the sign primarily because it is a hindrance to the visitors who frequent The Garden over a <br />base period of 90 days a year. <br />Stoltzman made motion, Leroux seconded, to consider removal of the stop sign on Hadley Avenue, <br />and reinstall it at the intersection on Hadley Circle for the three residences located on that street, only <br />if Mr. Bilotta assists the City with a remedy for vehicular speeding out of the Gardens. This includes <br />his visitors and employees. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />
