City Council meeting of November 6, 2000 <br />Page 8 <br />SCHEDULE CANVASS BOARD FOR WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 8.2000 <br />Under State Statute, the Council must meet as a canvassing board after the general election to certify <br />the election results. <br />Stoltzman made motion, Petryk seconded, to schedule the Board of Canvass for November 8, 2000, at <br />3:00 pm. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />ARCHITECTURAL AGREEMENT WITH BRA FOR DESIGN OF NEW CITY HALL <br />City Council directed staff to enter into an agreement with chief architect, Bob Russek, and the firm <br />of Bonestroo Rosene Anderlik and Associates for the design of the new City Hall. BRA and <br />Associates submitted a standard AIA Architectural Agreement for consideration by the City. The <br />Council should be aware that this Agreement does not commit the Council to a long-term contract <br />with the architect. Specifically, it does allow the City to go through different phases of design work, <br />with the schematic phase constituting a 25% cost of the overall architect's fees. <br />Leroux made motion, Haas seconded, to approve the Agreement with BRA and Associates for the <br />design of the City Hall contingent on staff resolving the items identified by the City Attorney. <br />VOTING AYE: Barnes, Haas, Leroux, Stoltzman <br />VOTING NAY: Petryk <br />Motion Carried. <br />BOND SALES (RUSTY FMELD. EHLERS AND ASSOCIATES) <br />$1.185M TAXABLE G.O. TAX INCREMENT BONDS FOR BEIP <br />The City's financial advisor, Rusty Fifield, was present with Council to propose the refinancing of the <br />$1.185M of G.O. tax increment bonds for the Bald Eagle Industrial Park. City staff recommended <br />Council approve the refunding. <br />Barnes made motion, Leroux seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 2000-43, A RESOLUTION <br />ACCEPTING PROPOSAL ON SALE OF $1,885,000 TAXABLE GO TAX INCREMENT BONDS, <br />SERIES 2000A, AND PLEDGING FOR THE SECURITY THEREOF TAX INCREMENTS. <br />VOTING AYE: Barnes, Haas, Leroux, Petryk, Stoltzman <br />Motion Carried. <br />$1.015M TEMPORARY G.O. BONDS FOR BEIP IMPROVEMENTS <br />The City's financial advisor, Rusty Fifield, will be present with Council to discuss the refinancing of <br />the $1.015M of temporary G.O. bonds for the BEIP improvements. City staff recommended Council <br />approve the refunding. <br />
