MINUTES FOR THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF JANUARY 4.1999 <br />Oaths of office were taken by Walter Stoltzman, Chuck Haas, and Becky Petryk <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Stoltzman at 7:02 p.m. <br />PRESENT: Stoltzman, Barnes, Haas, Leroux, Petryk <br />City Administrator, Robert Museus <br />City Attorney, Greg Galler <br />City Engineer, Tom Angus <br />City Clerk, Mary Ann Creager <br />ADDITIONS TO AGENDA <br />ARK Stipulation Agreement <br />Report from Sheriff Frank <br />Barnes made motion, Leroux seconded, to approve the following Consent Agenda: <br />City Council minutes for December 23, 1998 <br />City Council minutes for December 28, 1998 <br />General Claims for January 4, 1999 <br />All aye. Motion Carried. BARNES ABSTAINED1 FROM VOTING ON MINUTES FOR <br />DECEMBER 28, 1998 BECAUSE OF HER ABSENCE FROM THE MEETING. <br />CHANGE ORDER NO. 4. FIRE HALL <br />Mr. James Trossen, project architect for construction of the City's new Fire Hall, recommended <br />Change Order No. 4, increasing the project's cost by $1,860.65. The purpose of this Change Order is <br />to add additional structural framing support for the icanopies to be constructed over the south and <br />west entrance doors to the building, as recommended by the structural engineer for the project, L. <br />Larson Engineering. Council member Barnes questioned whether the change should have been <br />incorporated in the original architectural design. <br />Barnes made motion, Stoltzman seconded, to approve Change Order No. 4 for the Fire Hall, to add <br />additional structural framing support for the canopies be constructed over the south and west <br />entrance doors, at a cost of $1,860.65. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT NO. 3. FENWAY AVENUE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />The City Engineer recommended Supplemental Agreement No. 3 to reflect charges for relaying of <br />storm sewer, replacement of the storm sewer, and water main offsets in the amount of $6,104. Of <br />this, OSM will reimburse the City $2,804 as the work was made necessary by surveying error on their <br />part. The other expense to the City is a result of necessity to route water main around an existing <br />MCES sanitary sewer. City Engineer explained the Supplemental Agreement for Councilman Haas. <br />
