City Council meeting of January 4, 1999 <br />Page 2 <br />Haas made motion, Barnes seconded, to approve Supplemental Agreement No. 3 for the Fenway <br />Avenue improvement project, to reflect charges for relaying of storm sewer, replacement of the storm <br />sewer, and watermain offsets, in the amount of $6,104. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />1999 OFFICER AND AGENCY APPOINTMENTS <br />Barnes made motion, Leroux seconded, to appoint David Schumann as Planning Commission <br />chairman. <br />Because members of the Council wanted to discuss this matter with other members of the PC: <br />Barnes made motion, Haas seconded, to table this matter until the meeting of January 19, 1999. <br />VOTING AYE: Stoltzman, Barnes, Haas, Petryk <br />VOTING NAY: Leroux <br />Motion Carried. <br />Haas made motion, Stoltzman seconded, directing staff to draft a job description for the Planning <br />Commission chairperson. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Mayor Stoltzman felt that the City's legal fees have been excessive since Greg Galler was named City <br />Attorney. Attorney Galler refuted the statement, citing that the legal budget prior to his appointment <br />exceeds the present budget, and the work is now done in a timely fashion. <br />Leroux made motion, Barnes seconded, to make the following appointments for 1999: <br />Depository for City Funds - Firstar Hugo Bank <br />City Attorney - Greg Galler <br />City Engineer - Tom Angus <br />City Water Resource Engineer - Peter Willenbring <br />Zoning Administrator - Robert Museus <br />Civil Defense Director - Joe McMahon <br />Acting Mayor - James Leroux <br />Official Newspaper - White Bear Press <br />All aye.
