City Council meeting of June 8, 1999 <br />Page 2 <br />Leroux made motion, Haas seconded, to approve the policy to allow use of yellow warning lights by <br />Hugo Volunteer Firefighters. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR INTERVIEWS <br />The City received ten (10) applications for the position of maintenance supervisor. Staff recommended <br />that the five (5) most qualified candidates be interviewed for the position prior the next Council meeting. <br />The Interview Board to consist of one Council member, a representative from the City's engineering firm, <br />and a public works superintendent from a neighboring community. <br />Barnes made motion, Leroux seconded, directing that the five (5) most qualified candidates be <br />interviewed for the position, and that Council member Petryk represent the Council in the interview <br />process. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />PRELE UNARY PLAT (SWEET GRASS MEADOWS 2ND ADDITION) <br />Joseph and Constance Marier, 5566 145th Street, Quentin and Joan Marier, 6395 Oneka Lake Blvd., and <br />K -G Development, 4740 Apollo Drive, Lino Lakes, applied to subdivide approximately 47 acres into 95 <br />lots for single family homes to be known as Sweet Grass Meadows 2nd Addition. The property is <br />generally located at Oneka Lake Blvd., and Greene Avenue. The PC considered this request at their <br />meeting of May 26, 1999, and recommended approval of the subdivision subject to the City being able to <br />provide adequate water supply to the property. Rocky Goertz, developer, and Joel Toso, a professional <br />engineer representing the developer, addressed the Council about the water issue and other concerns. <br />Mr. Toso stated that his analysis showed that there would be adequate supply of water to the <br />development to meet the standards established by the American Waterworks Association, as well as the <br />Uniform Fire Code. Mr. Goertz offered to pay the sewer and water hookup fees for the lots in the <br />proposed development at the time of final play approval to assist the City in financing the needed new <br />well and tower. <br />Leroux made motion, Barnes seconded, to approve the preliminary plat for Sweet Grass Meadows 2nd <br />Addition. <br />VOTING AYE: Barnes, Haas, Leroux, Petryk <br />VOTING NAY: Stoltzman <br />Motion Carried. <br />PRELIMINARY PLAT (ONEKA LAKE VIEW SOUTH) <br />At the regular City Council meeting of May 17, 1999, the Council considered the preliminary plat for <br />Oneka Lake View South. The Council was concerned that use of the City's PUD ordinance was <br />inappropriate as a process to consider for the proposed plat of Oneka Lake View South, as the small <br />
