City Council meeting of June 28, 1999 <br />Page 3 <br />LETTERS FROM CITY ENGINEER <br />The City received letters from the City Engineer regarding Oneka Lake View, Oneka Lake View East, <br />and Creekview Preserve, Phase 2, recommending that Building Permits and Certificates of Occupancy <br />be issues as public improvements have been inspected and found to be substantially complete. <br />Stoltzman made motion, Leroux seconded, to,accept the recommendation from the City Engineer to <br />allow issuance of building permits and certificates of occupancy for Oneka Lake View East. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Stoltzman made motion, Barnes seconded, to accept the recommendation from the City Engineer to <br />allow issuance of building permits and certificates of occupancy for Oneka Lake View. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Leroux made motion, Stoltzman seconded, to accept the recommendation from the City Engineer to <br />allow issuance of building permits and certificates of occupancy for Creekview Preserve, Phase 2. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Leroux made motion, Barnes seconded, to accept the recommendation of the City Engineer and reduce <br />the letter of credit for Sweet Grass Meadows to $111,000. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />MEDICAL COVERAGE FOR CITY EMPLOYEES <br />Because of a change in the City's health coverage with the LMCIT, the City received a <br />recommendation from the City's Finance Director that the City accept the proposal from Blue <br />CrosslBlue Shield of Minnesota for their Aware Gold Limited Small Employer Plan. <br />Stoltzman made motion, Petryk seconded, to accept the recommendation from the City's Finance <br />Director and accept the proposal from Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Minnesota for their Aware Gold Plan, <br />and enter into a Joint Powers Agreement with the Southwest and West Central Service Cooperative. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />BLACK PANTHER/COUGAR <br />Council member Barnes discussed the "panther" issue and the lack of communication within the <br />community. It was her feelings that the City should make some effort to have the animal apprehended <br />prior to a possible tragedy. She stated she will be in contact with the DNR regarding this matter. <br />
