City Council meeting of August 9, 1999 <br />Page 2 <br />SPARROW CREST (FINAL PLAT) <br />The Council considered a letter from the City Engineer recommending approval of the final plat known <br />as SPARROW CREST. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />PUD (WENZEL FARMS) <br />Pratt-Arnt-Oakwood, LLC., 1611 Highway 10, Spring Lake Park, MN, applied for a PUD of <br />approximately 210 acres located in the western edge of the City, between 140th Street and 150th Street. <br />The PC considered this application at their meeting of July 28, 1999 and recommended approval of the <br />PUD Permit for the project. Developer Len Pratt reviewed development plans with the Council. <br />Developer John Peterson stated that his firm would be willing to finance the following costs associated <br />with CR8/Elmcrest Avenue: trail or sidewalk; landscaping; street lighting; easement acquisition; and 1/2 <br />the cost to signalize the intersection of CR8 and Elmcrest Avenue, and to be incorporated into the PUD <br />Permit. Mayor Stoltzman submitted a letter citing concerns he has with the proposed development. <br />Haas made motion, Leroux seconded, to approve the PUD Permit for Wenzel Farms as amended. <br />VOTING AYE: Haas, Leroux, Petryk <br />VOTING NAY: Stoltzman (Reason for NO vote outlined in submitted letter.) <br />Motion Carried. <br />PRELIMINARY PLAT APPROVAL (WENZEL FARMS) <br />Pratt-Arnt-Oakwood, LLC, applied for preliminary plat of Phase 1 of Wenzel Farms PUD consisting of <br />46 single family homes on 18.9 acres. This matter was last considered by the PC at their meeting of July <br />28, 1999, and recommended approval of the preliminary plat subject to Findings and Recommendations. <br />Leroux made motion, Haas seconded, to approve the preliminary plat for the subdivision known as <br />WENZEL FARMS <br />Leroux made motion, Haas seconded, to amend the previous motion that approval be subject to the <br />amended Findings and Recommendations. <br />VOTE ON AMENDMENT: All aye.
