City Council meeting of November 15, 1999 Page 5 DECEMBER MEETING WITH PARK COMMTTEE As previously discussed by the Council, staff requested the Council schedule a special workshop in December, with the Parks Committee, to discuss the feasibility of constructing a joint well field and athletic complex. Petryk made motion, Leroux seconded, to schedule a joint workshop with the Parks Commission for December 13, 1999, at 7:00 pm, to discuss the feasibility of constructing a joint well field and athletic complex. All aye. Motion Carried. MEMO FROM MAYOR (MCES MEETING) Mayor Stoltzman met with a representative from MCES regarding construction of the Centerville interceptor. It was agreed that another meeting be held to review all information relating to this project. INTERIM TRANSITION COORDINATOR Councilmember Petryk suggested that the City hire a contract employee to bridge the time from when Administrator Museus leaves until a new Administrator is in place. Petryk made motion, Stoltzman seconded, to contract with Marvin LaValle to serve as an interim transition coordinator, two days a week, with a payment of between $250 to $300 per day. VOTING AYE: Petryk VOTING NAY: Barnes, Haas, Leroux, Stoltzman Motion Failed. JD2 LITIGATION Stotlzman made motion, Barnes seconded, to schedule an executive session for November 22, 1999, at 6:00 pm, to continue discussion of JD2 litigation. All aye. Motion Carried. CITY ADNMWSTRATOR SEARCH COAfMTTEE The Council discussed the merits of forming a search committee versus hiring a professional search company to fill the administrator vacancy. It was determined that if a search company was hired to assist a search committee, it would be prudent to just hire the company outright. Leroux made motion, Haas seconded, to receive proposals from search companies, Jim Brimeyer and Sathe Co., on November 23 or 24, at 4:00 pm, to assist the City in the finding 6f a new Administrator.
