MINUTES FOR HUGO CITY COUNCIL MEETING MARCH 16.1998 <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Fran Miron at 7: IOPM. <br />PRESENT: Arcand, Barnes, Goiffon, Leroux, Miron <br />City Administrator, Robert Museus <br />City Attorney, Greg Gauer <br />City Engineer Representative, Paul Hornby <br />City Clerk, Mary Ann Creager <br />ADDITIONS TO AGENDA <br />Charitable Gambling License (American Legion Post 225 - Forest Lake) <br />Fire Chief Selection Update <br />Goiffon made motion, Barnes seconded, to approve the following Consent Agenda: <br />City Council minutes for the meeting of March 2, 1998 <br />Bingo Application - Hugo Lions <br />Change in Ward 2 Polling Place <br />Charitable Gambling License (American Legion Post 225 - Forest Lake) <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />BINGO APPLICATION - HUGO LIONS <br />The Hugo Lions Club, Box 321, Hugo, MN, requested a MN Lawful Gambling License to <br />conduct bingo during Good Neighbor Days on June 5-7, 1998. Adoption of the Consent <br />Agenda approved the application. <br />CHANGE IN WARD 2 POLLING PLACE <br />The City Clerk recommended that the polling place for elections conducted in Ward 2 be <br />changed from the American Legion to Shepherd of the Field Lutheran Church. The <br />change provides better access for the public, and a smoke-free atmosphere. Adoption of <br />the Consent Agenda approved the change in polling place as requested. <br />CHARITABLE GAMBLING LICENSE (FL AMERICAN LEGION) <br />The American Legion Post 225 applied for a permit to conduct lawful gambling activities <br />at Ricci's, 14777 Forest Boulevard. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the <br />request, and waiver to the 30 -day waiting period, if necessary. <br />GENERAL CLAIMS <br />Leroux made motion, Miron seconded, to approve the General Claims for March 16, <br />1998, as presented. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />
